why do I feel so guilty about reading this book

It's the kids verson on the bible. I feel so stupid. I feel like I should read the regular bible. I guess this is better than nothing.

I say get it how you can get it. There's nothing wrong with reading a kids bible. Even though it's a kids bible, it's still a bible. But if you want to get a new bible, try and look for a translation that you like the best. There are soooo many translations to choose from. Personally, I like the Contemporary English translation. Try looking at http://www.biblegateway.com they have a huge list of different translations. Try some of them out HTH

Like she said there is NOTHING wrong with reading it. I did it a little while back(about a year ago) cause I need the whole bible in lamens terms. I needed an easy break down cause all those pages can get overwhelming and then the stories start getting mixed up and then you might as well not read it at all. Baby steps. This is the only way I can learn.

Also, remember Jesus said come unto Him as a little child. So that's great. I have a childlike heart sometimes myself.

If that is what you understand best I say read it. I read New King James but I favor the Amplified Bible. A good place to go to, to determine which one you like before you buy is http://www.biblegateway.com/. On this website are multiple translations. I use this site as a study tool along with a good dictionary and Matthew Henry Concordance. HTH
