Yes, I've tried the sulflower pudding and the curly custard. The curly custard is best for naturals because it moisturizes and doesn't leave hair hard and crunchy. The sunflower pudding is good, too, but she needs to work on the consistency. It came to me very soft and watery.

Long lovely locks: a review

Sunflower Pudding
Ingredients
water, botanical hair blend that contains horsetail, lemongrass, nettle leaves, peppermint, lavender and roses, ylang ylang, sunflower oil, shea butter, vegetable emulsifier, fragrance

I had been cyber-stalking Long Lovely Locks site for weeks now. The claims just seemed to good to be true. "Shampoos good enough for everyday uses?” Weightless moisturizers?” Had I really found the wonders to black hair growth? So, I decided to scrounge up my pennies and buy a sample size of the products that intrigued me the most; Curly Custard and Sunflower Pudding. The Curly Custard is meant to soften your hair as well as elongate the curls. You can use
it on damp hair, if you're natural; to girl a smooth shiny looks to your waves and kinks. Or, you can reapply to dry hair that needs a little extra TLC.
The Sunflower Pudding is meant to soften as well as strengthen the hair from the inside out.
They came prompt in the mail and I loved the way each one smelled. The Curly Custard had my head smelling of cupcakes and cookies, while the Sunflower Pudding reminded me of Peppermint Patties and sunshine on a summer's day. Everywhere I went, I got a strong whiff of cooling Nettles. I loved how it made my scalp tingle!

The bad news: These products are much cheaper than Qhemet, but cost more than your everyday BSS moisturizers. Should this be rightfully so? No. I will say that these products definitely gave me such soft Roller set, and definitely caused my hair to feel stiff. Curly Custard
Ingredients
shea butter blend including olive butter, purified water, aloe vera gel, glycerin, vegetable emulsifier, proprietary essential oil, lavender, fragrance

The Sunflower Pudding made detangling easy and made it easy to straighten my hair. The Curly Custard, however sweet it may smell, left my hair hard and stiff after a couple of days. My hair started breaking more than usual, and although it gave me great sheen... it just coated my strands to where they felt greasy. I wouldn't say that this is the worse moisturizer out there, but it seems to build up fast I’m not even sure if it works best n natural hair or not, considering that “curling” creams need to moisturize as well as hold the curl.
I used it on my roommate’s hair to blow-dry and her hair was silky soft (I also deep conditioned her hair with heat... go figure). It held up to its promise of hold... my Rollsets stayed nice for a couple of hours, but I started seeing little hairs when I tried to run my fingers through the curls. I probably won't ever repurchase. This product was one-sided by only being able to the “hold” part to its attributes.
The Sunflower Pudding was a much better contender. It definitely made my hair soft and melted right into my distressed locks. It left my hair feeling smooth as silk and imparted a gloss that looked salon fresh. Great for heat styling and worked wonders for the Overnight Baggie Method. It’s not as heavy as other conditioners, which was an added plus. Perfect for "date" hair; hair soft to the touch and easy to run your fingers through. I got less breakage with the product and I might repurchase.
I really wanted to write the perfect review for both of these products. I loved the back-story behind them and thought that the creator’s idea was ingenious. However, these products are not necessarily worth the extra moola. As stated before, Sunflower Pudding melts right into your hair and you'll feel it the next day. It’s not as heavy as Elasta QP Mango butter, Carol's Daughter Healthy Hair Butter or Qhemet Biologics Amla and Olive Heavy Cream. But, I needed some heavy-duty moisture effects that I could count on all week long. This might have been asking too much out of the cute bottles of homemade gunk. As much as I want to believe in LLL's line, I keep finding broken hairs all over the place. I guess you would have to try both one of these products on your own.

The prices have gone up, damn near doubled it looks like!! :perplexed I usually get mine from Honeyfig.com and they have them on clearance. Maybe they will stop carrying them with the new crazy prices.

THATS WHAT I MEAN! When i first checked out this line, the prices were very reasonable, in line with other brands like curls, blended beauty, etc. But now, they are downright outlandish:look:

Anybody still get anything from here? This site is how I got into making my own...I couldn't keep buying those itty bitty bottles...i looked at site today and she really went up since everything is "organic"

Yes she went up Too Darn Much! I just can't see myself paying that much, she use to be very reasonable, But I don't hear anyone ever talking about her line!

Fa real! I know one time it took a really long time to get my order after a bunch of calls and emails she said she was back ordered from her supplier she gets ingredients. I liked the way they smelled but I had to use a bunch of the product on my hair in order to get results and stuff would only last me like 2-3weeks :(. Just was not practical. Haven't ordered since last year though.
