So, I washed my hair in the shower for about 30 minutes and the hot water ran out. When I style my hair, it can take 1-2 hours. I can't put my hair in a decent ponytail without doing it over about 4 times. My arms are tired.
Oh well, gotta deal with it, I guess.

Bubln, I feel you. Even after a condition wash, it takes me at least 2 hours to section and braid my hair. When I get frustrated I just think about how long it must take women with waist-length hair to blowdry their hair, lol.

My hair used to be like that, but now that I've given up brushing and combing it's easier. I've accepted that my hair will never be perfectly combed through again. I used to sped a lot of time combing and detangling. Now I just use my fingers. Blowdrying and flat ironing is out of the question. People like my hair better curly and wild anyway.:D

Instead of sectioning and braiding, maybe you could use a clip and just twist your hair into a bun and let it dry like that. That will stretch the hair out a bit.

Wow, that's a revelation thanks for the curly hair tip. :D

That's why I love coming to LHCF. I don't want my haircare to become a chore - it needs to remain a fun experience. I'm always learning ways to simplify my regimen as FlowerHair did for herself.

Not using heat did simplify things a lot but also added more time for drying. I've learned to cut some of that by airdrying overnight. Working with my hair rather than trying to make it do something else has really been a big help and relief for me. I'm still learning.

I really feel you on the hot water running out, lol. I learned to wash my hair with my head over the tub using a bowl to pour the water over my head. Cut down amt of running water and seems to go quicker. Keep experimenting with different ways of washing & you'll be gradually be cutting down your hair time. :)

Mine! I can't braid and I hate going to other people to do my hair so I've decided to keep it super short. Combing short natural hair is so much easier than trying to comb long natural hair.
