I spent 5 hours on my hair today! (pics)

You did a good job, your hair looks good, shiny, healthy and soft... The time will get better the more you do it... Hang in there, your hair will thank you for all the hours of TLC:yep:

I was reading your post and looked at the pictures thinking - wow, what beautiful hair - I had to do a double take at this quotes line.

You hair is beautiful - you are beautiful, and you should be very proud of yourself. The time thing will work itself out. I usually take hours too because I do other things while the conidtioner is doing its thing, but that's just me. You can, as has been suggested, sit under tthe dryer with the DC which will take off a chunk of time, and as you get more practice with roller sets, you'll be faster.

I think the most important thing - be pleased and proud of yourself - do not equivocate - your hair is beautiful all by itself; it's not necessary to compare with others.

:yep: :yep: :yep: :yep: My thoughts exactly!! Your hair is beautiful, and it look like you paid out the nose to have it done! It's gorgeous and looks incredibly healthy.

I also must say I'm in awe of your patience! I don't have 1/2 that patience, but you inspired me, I'll give it a shot in your honor.

OT: sorry I haven't written in a bit, my parents had their 30th anniversary party this weekend, and we had guests from all over the planet. Still have a few, but it's not so overwhelming now.

Thanks you guys, I totally forgot about this thread, I did it last week and it went down to 3 hours and 30 minutes. So the time is getting shorter, I'm going to keep trying!

It looks great! Perhaps you could split it up over a day and night. Usually what I do is shower and wash, do a deep conditioner overnight with ORS or some other conditioner and then wake up an finish with styling and what not. HTH
