Who's all natural, product wise?

i'm half and half.... half of my conditioners are natural the other cowashing/detangling condish aren't natural. Leave-in;s and stylers (with exception of ECO) are all natural... my DC is well I say half and half. I will either make it (Mayo, egg, honey) or use GVP conditioning balm. I have yet to find a serious bomb.com natural DC, that I can purchase on ground. I also have yet to find a good wng styler that's natural. Most creams that claim they enchance curls and have hold don't work on my hair :ohwell: The only thing I've found is the Taliah Wadjidd (sp) curly curl Cream, yet i hate the residue it leaves...soooo umm yeah, all recommendations are welcome :yep:

Truth
Kinky curly is natural and it's a love or hate product no in-between
You could try tightly curly method with natural conditioners and aloe Vera gel that hasn't worked for me yet maybe with more length weight and hang time I could wean off the Eco styler.
I'm where you are actually I can probably go to 75% natural And still keep my look  but I need my styling products with this thick hair I can't walk around looking crazy if I find a natural strong hold gel then I'll switch but they have to work for my hair if not I'm happy with being half and half.

I use prairie naturals badlands reconstructor and love it. The protein in it is SAA do any of you use any natural reconstructors/protein treatments with another protein in it (I'm just looking for variety)?
Other natural lines that I use are:
-Beauty without cruelty leave in Conditioner
-Giovanni deeper moisture condish
-I use elucence MB shampoo and their conditioner but plan on switching to Prairie Naturals silica conditioner (I use it on dd and it works very well).

I just tried AO GPB and I love it so far it's great for me as a light -medium protein I DCd w it And my hair felt stronger no hard like Aphogee. I then used AO HSR for moisture worked great too I didn't have to squeeze half a bottle to get results.

Lucia Naptural85 has a recipe for flax seed gel, I havnt tried it but it does seem to work

I personally like darcys botanicals curling creme gel

I've been using all natural products for the past two months now and I've seen a real difference in my hair. It seems to retain more moisture, have more movement and shine to it as well. I'm still trying to figure out which natural product lines work best on my hair (I'm not ready to mix my own yet). With all that being said, here's what's been working for me:

Shampoo: diluted Dr. Bonner's (once a month)
Conditioner: Aubrey's Honeysuckle Rose, Trader Joe's Nourish Spa, Giovanni Smooth As Silk DC or Aubrey's GBP
Leave In: KCKT, Giovanni Root 66
Moisturizer: Coconut Oil, Shea Butter, Curls Moisturizer
Gel: Kinky Curly Curling Custard

looks like i will have to try the sheamoisture line again..i admit i was extremely heavy handed with the products!

Lucia thx! I'm going to pick some up next week:yep:

I am 99% natural ....

Shampoo: Desert Essence Coconut Shampoo...

Conditioner: Haven't found a replacement for my Giovanni Smooth as Silk (I think the protein was too much for my hair).. Now I use Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition condish.... Ingredients are all natural except for artificial fragrance (which is very light) and artificial color.. I am going to try the aubrey organics honeysuckle next.

Homemade Butter: Base is Shea, Cocoa, Mango and Cupuacu butters, coconut oil, evening primrose oil, almond and avocado oil, jojoba and vitamin E (It works amazing for the skin and hair)

Homemade Oil: Base is castor, olive, coconut, jojoba and vitamin E oil. Great for skin and hair too... Cured my acne with African Black soap + the butter or oil as a moisturizer.

Leave in: Kimmay Tube Recipe, but I use my homemade oil instead of the oil mix she recommended. Works much better for my hair...

I'm shopping aggressively for a natural conditioner.... I know that some non-natural shampoos and conditioners work amazing (i've been eyeing Kenra so bad... I want it), but my health is more important... I'm not saying I'll never try a non-natural product, I'll just try everything possible to stick to natural...

Everything works amazing, and I'm a very "nappy" 4Z. :)

BTW Trader Joes Nourish Spa has Parabens in it (methylparaben and propylparaben) and I wouldn't consider it all natural, even the other ingredients in it are amazing...

Have you tried Aubrey organics honey suckle rose yet? it's la bomba chica.
It's 2 in one DC and rinsing conditioner, I tried it on dry hair for DC like it says on the back and it's great love the smell of both they smell great and linger esp the HSR-I get compliments on how good my hair smells all the time. My regimen is so simple now product and maintenance wise. I'm exclusively using AO HSR, AO GPB, EVOO/SFO, AVJ, east african shea butter, eco styler olive oil gel, KCCC. All I have to do is find a replacement for eco styler with a strong hold natural gel and I'll be like 95% natural.

I only use natural products and lines:

Oyin Handmade
Qhemet Biologics
Chagrin Valley Soap & Craft
Aubrey Organics
Giovanni
Castor, coconut, grape seed oil

I clarify with Baking Soda followed by a ACV rinse.

Cleanse with Oyin Handmade's Honey Wash

Wash n gos with either Say Yes to Carrots or Oyin's Honey Hemp.

Get protein is from Mills Creek Biotin Conditioner.

Deep Condition & detangle with Oyin's Honey Hemp + Amla powder (new addition)

Leave In Conditioner/Moisturizer is Oyin's Honey Dew.

& I style my hair with Oyin's Shine & Define cream mixed with Oyin's Whipped Pudding.

Rarely I use Kera Care Naturals Defining Curl Gel/Pudding but I really just wanna get rid of it. It's 'so so.' I want to try KCCC or Darcy Botanical's Curling Jelly or whatever it's called.

I've been doing this for almost 2 months now. I'm liking Amla in addition to my reggie as well. I want to add more ayurvedic practices to my natural products, the results are rewarding.... especially during this hot weather down south.

Lucia that delight would already be in my stash if I was readily available her in Canada (gta area). However on my next order through vitacost for my BWC Leave in con I'll be sure to get some (that's if they carry it:look:)
