Who uses ION PRODUCTS?

I just bought the leave-in, reconstructor treatment, moisturising treatment and clarifying shampoo.

Anyone has reviews on these please?

Also, the reconstructor and moisturising treatment dont have instructions to use heat! Do you apply heat anyways?

TIA!!!

I've only used the reconstructor and the anti-frizz spray. I like them. I mixed 1 packet of the reconstructor with a creamy protein conditioner and I used heat for about 30 minutes. I plan on replacing Remedi Therex with the ION reconstructor. It works just as well and it's easier for me to purchase.

The Anti-Frizz Leave-In Spray is one of the few leave-ins that doesn't feel hard on my hair when it dries. But I like African Royale Braid Spray better...

Thumbs up

for the moisturizing treatment. I have used it with heat. However, I think it would work well without. I am trying to follow package directions more closely on my products. It is said that they work best if those instructions are followed.

I used the moisturizing treatment with heat also. The clarifying shampoo was ok but it will leave your hair bone dry. The hot oil treatment was ok.

yeah but when they say put in what looks like a deep conditioning product and rinse it out 3-5 minutes later, it is hard to take in. where is the time for the treatments to penetrate?

thanks for all your responses. i used the moisturising treatment last nite and i think it tangled up my hair badly, i dont care so much fr the smell either. i do like, though, that they make the dispensing of their products easy. i used the reconstructor once and love it, much better than aphogee. the clarifyer is great too, no drying effect for me. the leave in makes my hair soft and strong.

ís it only me or is the reconstructor treatment like a shampoo. it lathered in my hair. may be the magnesium sulphate.

Well, the part of the product that you want to go into the internal structure of the hair would be the protein portion. Any product with "hydrolyzed" protein should do that without heat. Hydrolyzed means that the molecular weight is small enough to penetrate the hair shaft!

I used to use ION products a lot (I really liked the shampoo), but I only use the reconstructor conditioner now...I mix it with oils (a la Cathy Howse), and yes, it does kinda look like a shampoo rather than a conditioner, but it does a really good job.

Pandora,

I believe that the non-protein ingredients are meant to re-inforce the hair cuticle and it can definitely bind to the cuticle without heat.

Good Luck Pandora,

I think either way (with or without heat) you will enjoy the ION products and do try the hot oil too. It's good
