Do you feel it' necessary to take both? I'm trying to eat better but my hair is in a bad state right now and I want to take care of my hair from the inside out.

I don't take any vitamins.. I used to and would forget and I think they promoted some other issues:look:

I just try to increase my daily water intake and eat right...my vits and minerals come from the foods that I eat.

Thats what i was thinking also but i know the soil isn't as good as it was before therefore we are getting less nutrients from veggies and fruits. I think a multi is important but sinc emy hair is in a desperate state I was wondering if it would be bets to use a hair vitamin too.

You usually don't need both but it depends on the formula of the products in question. I put together a vitamin guide before and how to determine what you should take and what you should know about each product.

If you have a particular concern pertaining to a specific product then just shoot me a pm. We'll break it down from there.

I do right now, but I'm thinking of getting rid of the hair ones and just taking silica, flaxseed oil and MSM instead...

I take both but that is because the ingredients in my current hair vitamin aren't very comprehensive. I have taken other types of hair vitamins that included a lot of the basics that would be in a multi-vitamin and I didn't feel the need to double up then.

ETA: Just noticed that Gymfreak said it better: it depends on the formula.

I do. I take Womens One a Day and 1 capsule of 5000mcg of Biotin, since one a day doesnt contain much biotin.
