Who PM\'d me about Porosity??

Sorry I deleted your message but read the question.

I actually haven't used Porosity in quite a while. I've been using other stuff. I plan on adding it into my rotation shortly though

It wasn't me but I do have to say that I like the Porosity control. It seems to make my conditioners work better.

I agree, the main way I used it was mixed with a conditioner. I got that tip from a hairdresser years ago and he was so right.

I didn't send the PM but I did have a question...what how much Porosity control do you mix with your other conditioner (50/50, 30/70, ?) and would you sit under the dryer with this in, as a deep conditioner?

Hey Kaela, I don't measure how much but I'd say I use about 60% one conditioner and 40% porosity, something like that so that the porosity isn't the majority amount.

I used to sit under a dryer but started switching to leaving it on cold and got good results too. Its up to you if you prefer heat or no I'd say.

I just got a sample-sized bottle from Sally's yesterday. I think I'll try it mixed with Lekair.

I mixed it alot with Motions Moisture Plus. Years ago I used to like mixing it with one of Revlon's conditioners that isn't here in the States. I still have 2/3 unused tubs. Its called Moisturizing Protein Conditioner or something like that. Its as thick as mayo and was reccomended to me by the same hairdresser who mentioned mixing Porosity. I think the pic of it is in my profile....have to look myself

I do have the motions moisture plus conditioner. I think I'll try it with that this weekend.

Funny you posted this BRH...I think it may have been me who PM'd you a while back...

I used it this am with UANs Crema and it solved the problem I had w/ a patch of porous and therefore rough hair near my nape. This was a sample from Sally's and I will be repurchasing. Thanx for the advice!

I used to use PC years ago but I forgot all about. I don't know why because I really liked it. Thanks for reminding me about it

I used it years ago also at the suggestion of a stylist. I added it to my regimen recently and it does a very nice job. I'm glad that everyone is having good results too.

Does everyone use it mixed with another conditioner? What do the instructions say on the bottle?

i use porosity also. i actually don't follow the directions on the bottle. i apply my conditioner then add the porosity. i add it all over until enough covers my hair. then i deep condition. the porosity is suppose to add the moisture back to your hair that it is missing. i have to say it really works. i have always had dry hair and this has been a life saver for me. i use it everytime i wash my hair.

I must say that today, after sweating profusely in step class, my hair was wet, but since I had used PC with my condit on Thursday am, the texture of my hair seemed different...almost cottony-like...Im not sure if this is a good thing because it actually looked MORE porous than usual...it did feel good to the touch, though...any ideas about why this may have happened?

I tried this conditioner last night and I LOVE it. I mixed it with my Wella Kolestral. This stuff has made my hair soo soft and silky

Ive recently added it to my regimen and I like it as well. Last time, I used a little too much and ended up with super springy-curly hair....no matter how much I combed it, even with serum, the curls just kept springing back upon themselves...

I also use this mixed with Keracare Humecto Conditioner. I got this tip from my hairdresser as this is what he uses. Great minds think alike.

Okay I have a couple of questions:

Is it okay to clarify with a shampoo before?
Should I buy the matching 'poo for the Revlon porosity?
Do I actually mix the porosity cond. and my regular cond. then apply it or use the products separatly?
Finally, has anyone with a color (rinse) use this product? I currently use cellphane.

I have used the conditioner in separate (after using a conditioner) and mixed into a conditioner, and for me I think it works best mixed into another conditioner. It works great without heat too.

I didn't buy the shampoo and I don't feel that its necessary to have it.
