And how do you use it?

I bought some recently and have added it to my shampoo and condioner leave-in, but BOY DOES THAT STUFF SMELL!!

I can't really smell it on my hair when it dries, but that is some potent stuff!

I know is it supposed to promote hair growth, so I just wanted to know how all the HairDivas use it. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Blkmane, I have an assortment of essentail oils which I use in various ways. Ylang-Ylang is one of them and I use it in oil blends for hot-oil treatments, add it to my hair moisturizers and sometimes even to a conditioner. I also put it and rosemary and sage oil in my Elasta QP Penetrating moisturizer and spray it on my hair daily. Basically, you can't go wrong using essential oils.

I sometimes use ylang-ylang in my nightly massages. I mix it with rosemary and jojoba. I actually like the smell, its very floral. /images/graemlins/drunk.gif However, I have noticed if I use too much, I get a headache. /images/graemlins/frown.gif

I use it, along with the other essential oils that I use. I mostly put it in my hot oil treatements. I also made a hair dressing with it in it (Grapeseed oil, Y/Y, Rosemary, Orange (to combat smell), but yu are right the stuff has a LOUD smell. /images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Hi BlkMane, I use it in my peppermint tea rinse. I take 8oz of water and boil it. Then I add my peppermint tea bag along w/ 1/2 tsp of ACV, and 10 drops of Ylang-Ylang oil. I stand in the shower and pour this on my hair after I shampoo it. I then add my moisturizing conditioner to my hair and put a plastic bag on for about 30 min. Boy! I tell you! You can feel your follicles working /images/graemlins/grin.gif I only do this once a week. I love it /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Is there a specific brand of peppermint tea that you use?

Yeah I use it in my essential oil concotion that I use for hot oil treatments. But there's so much other smelly stuff in there it's hard to know which oil is causing the most smell. /images/graemlins/laugh.gif hahahahahaha
