I LOOOOOVE DC'ing on dry hair.. My hair loves it so its a keeper for life...

I dc 2x a week on dry hair... 1x a week, I only co wash it out,
the other time, I shampoo it out, then rinse with conditioner to restore moisture...

Its saves time and its very effective.

I like it, but I've stopped because of the cones I'm using to style. I feel I get the most benefits from DC'ing on clean, towel-dried hair.

I still DC on dry hair and love it... I usually sit under the dryer for 30 min... ORS replenishing gives me the best results on dry hair but I also like CON moisture extreme, Mizani moisturefuse and Suave Humectant

Still do most times I find it easier than washing then DCing. I usually slather my DC of the moment on put on a plastic bag and cotton scarf then get a good 45 min cardio session going!

Me!!! Aubrey Organics White Camellia, AO GPB, Oil Mixture. 30 minutes w/heat.

I did this morning to correct my latest cowash debacle from last night (Tresemme Vitamin E Moisture Rich Conditioner). Hair was a dry desert when I woke up this morning and NG felt like little rocks! I slapped some Motions Moisture Plus on, getting at my roots/NG real good, donned a plastic cap and let it sit for 4 hours (I don't use heat). Didn't give me megaslip but at least I could get a comb through my hair for my bun! Dry DCing saved me this morning - getting a little warm to wear a hat in the office!

I do sometimes. I use AO IN or Diva Smooth (carmel technique) + cap for several hours followed by CW usually.

I love it! Saves time and energy, and I think I get better results too. I recently did it for my grandmother on her natural hair before a roller set (I need work on that front.. lol) and I think it did wonders. Then again, I'm not sure when was the last she had deep conditioned. :look:

I just started a week ago and feel left out...you know, really missing out on something that was wonderful. Fabulous results.

DC'ing on dry hair is the only way for me. It saves me time and I don't waste nearly as much water.

I mist my hair first with water and then apply my homemade conditioning mix of aloe vera gel, oil, and a lil honey and leave it on for 15 mins (longer if I'm feeling lazy or busy doing other things) before rinsing and cleansing my hair.

When I DC on dry hair, I do so for several hours to overnight with a very moisturizing deep conditioner. I never try this with a protein conditioner because I don't want breakage from hard hair.

Usually when I do DC overnight like this, I most likely just recently did a henna treatment or a hardcore protein treatment and need the extra moisture.

DCing on dry hair while I exercise gives my hair amazing natural steaming results because of the heat from my scalp. This way, I get two for one.

That reminds me I need to hit up Big Lots before I leave and get me a skala haul.

I used to DC on dry hair but because I use products in my hair daily I was wondering if it was penetrating. How often are you all DC?

^So...you guys just do a DC on unwashed (producted, lol) hair? What are the benefits of doing it on dry hair? Will it cause build up? Do you wash/cowash AFTER the dry DC???:drunk:

I do, mainly b/c its a timesaver

I usually spritz lightly to aid in disturbution of the product through my hair.

for moisture I use ausse 3 min miracle which Ive added SAA's to (well I add them to all my moisture DC's)

for protein, aphogee 2 min or lamaur bone marrow.

I just tried DCing on dry hair the other night. I used SE Cholesterol and honey overnight. I applied it to my new growth like I was doing a touch up, then the remaining hair in bigger sections. I wasn't sure if you're supposed to wash with shampoo or just CW, so I just Giovonni Tea Tree to wash and then used Elucence conditioner at the end. I followed it up with Its a 10 leave in and my hair feels GREAT!!! My bun is usually really poofy at the roots when I wet bun. My hair laid down so much better this time. I'll be doing this more often. Doing it on dry hair and overnight saves me so much time. :yep:

I am.

I DC with AO GPB (strength) or with AO HSR (moisture).

Regardless of which one I'm using, I leave on for 15 minutes as directed on the bottles.
