It depends on what I am doing the next day. Since I have been unemployed, for my midweek wash, I usually wet wrap it and allow it to air dry sometimes I flat iron it, sometimes I don't.

For my Saturday wash, I blowdry and flat iron.

When I start work this is going to switch.

For the last 3 shampoos, I have used mine on low (sans comb attachment!!!)to help it dry to about 80%. My dome drier was just way too hot! That has helped me prevent too much styling manipulation.

If i blow dry,my hair looks burnt out and is a frizzy ball of fluff,if i air dry i get tangles, but when i rollerset then is when i get soft extra straight hair

I blowdry occasionally on a low heat setting, my hair is weird and does not like to be airdryed all the time.
I never blowdry without using my BBD Stretch Creme which seems to work better with heat.

I voted that I don't blowdry but I'm thinking of starting back rollersetting and using my dome dryer atleast. My hair always looks a mess after I airdry and is drier and more brittle. I don't think my hair likes airdrying. And lets not even talk about the tangles.

I blow the roots out after every watch.... and blow dry once every 3 months (for the purpose of progress pics).

I blow dry with an ionic dryer after each wash 90% of the time. I do not use a comb attachment and I do not flat iron. If I do a conditioner wash I air dry my hair in rods or braids for a cute updo.

i airdry i havent mastered it , my hair comes out look a hot curly roots straight ends mess! lol, but I dont care, i got a man who loves me just as i am, a best friend who's on the same hair growth obsessed path as me and whole bunch of co workers who could care less. And when my hair is wsl I have the time of my life styling it!

Hehehehe.... Yep, it works great don't it gurl! And for the young lady who asked why we dont use the attachment? It's just my opinion that to use the attachent you have to hold the heat darn close to your hair. too close for comfort. The nozzle and attachment gets darn hot and i dont want it touching my hair...

So YOU are the person I got this from!.....

I blow dry 85% of the time after a wash.
I wash, deep condition, add my leave ins-salerm, bbd stretch and/ or nioxin silk elixir, airdry my hair until its about 75% dry and blowdry with an ionic rusk blow dryer and use a rubber brush.
The other 15% of the time I air dry my hair in a pony tail or wash and go.
NO adverse effects here. I only have to trim every 6 months or so and my hair is BSL and grows like a weed!

I found that out the hard way!

Does everyone here mean blowdrying with the comb attachment?

I don't use a blowdryer. My stylist uses some fancy professional blowdryer and vent brushes. My hair comes out great and full of body. My ends don't feel fried like when I used to blow dry my hair.

i never blow dry. i roller set, sit under my ionic dome dryer, wrap it, sit back under the dry to get the curls to fall. then lightly hit it with my ceramic flat iron and ceramic curling iron if i'm wearing my hair out. (it usually take about 4 hrs to do my hair:ohwell: )

right now, alot of my hair is still fragile and damaged from overprocessing. Maybe when my hair is healthier (and all the damaged hair is cut off) then it will be able to withstand the occasional blow dry.

Befor LHCF I was blowdrying my hair once a week. Since Feb, I think I have only done it about 5 times and that is because I had functions to attend to. I might stay with this for a while...

I tend not to blow-dry but when I do I use the cool setting. My hair comes out softer than it does with a hot setting.

I blow dry after just about every wash. However, I blow dry on the cool setting. Doesn't cause damage and leaves my hair much softer than air-drying. HTH!

I do exactly the same, I used to be under the impression that it took heat from a blowdryer to dry my hair properly, I actually love the cool setting, I have an ionic tresemme (MADE BY PHILIPS) hairdryer (UK ladies £19.99 from boots) and find it to be a much better option than air drying.

I use a denman d3 or the detangling brush to blowdry, mine doesn't comb with a comb attachment. Sometimes I finger comb and blowdry then brush thru when about 80-90% dry.

i used to blow dry and my hair grew, but it lacked volume. so i found a great moisturizing conditioner and started airdrying followed by caruso rollers or a rollerset. It works. I figured I'll never get may hair where I want it with direct heat. my hair is fine textured 4a.

I blow dry my hair after every wash... Sorry :( But its set on the medium setting. I just cant airdry for some reason. I use an ionic blowdryer from Conair.

I usually blow dry because my hair just does not look right after air drying:ohwell: . I am in the process of trying different combinations, but have yet to find one that actually works. I envy the girls here who can air dry and have straight, SOFT hair. That just does not work for me. I also cannot blow dry after letting it partially air dry. I end up with more breakage. I think I am going to try blow drying on cool and doing partially blow drying to at least get it straight at the roots and then let it air dry.
