NOT ME...

My stylist cut my ends last week so now it looks like any growth I had achieved this summer is gone!!

I'm feeling a little discouraged with this whole hair thing as a result, but I'm going to start taking my vitamins (MSM, Biotin & B5) again and maybe that will step up my growth some.

Thanks for the reply and I am sorry for the hair cut that your stylist has given you. If I was you I would tell the stylist to not cut the hair but trim the ends. STAY AWAY FROM HAPPY HAIR CUTTING STYLISTS!!!!

AND NOT ME.

I ruined my color. I do like it better as far as it looking healthy now, but it's not the same. EVERYONE that knows me has asked why I changed it.

And my hair is only a little longer. Just a tiny little bit. I posted a length pic in the gallery with my newly blackened hair...and it's BARELY 2 inches longer than it was in APRIL!

Sometimes I really wonder if it's worth all the freakin' trouble.

Well, I think you should not stress over your hair because stressing can also cause the hair to not grow. Just relax about your hair.

My hair was cut about two inches above bra-strap and now it's back to bra-strap so I've reached that goal. Also, my bangs are longer

I reached my first hair goal which was healthy, vibrant hair. Other people are complimenting me on my hair growth. I do have some new growth but of course it is not enough. I want my hair to longer in the back. Right now, my hair is a little past my shoulders in the back. I really want the back to be a lot longer.

Me!

I reached my 1st goal! On to my next one which is shoulder blades by next Spring.

You all still have nice hair! (from the pics I've seen) I'm sure it won't be long before you reach your hair goals even with the set backs.

Well, I didn't really set any "summer" goals, but I did cut out 8 pictures from magazines, hang them on my wall and number them from 1 to 8 according to my hair (length) goals and I have checked off pictures 1 and 2. My very first goal was to stop the breakage which I achieved and my second was to obtain some sense of healthy hair. Hey, I'm meeting goals all over the place. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I was starting to get impatient. Hang in there Tracy and Lindy!

Butterfly- the hair goal pictures is a great idea.

I think I have reached brastrap, which was a goal for the summer so I am very happy right now.
Edited to add:
Nah, just checked and I didn't

But I know I will.

I reached one of my goals lengths. I did achieve 6 inches in one year but it wasn't easy. It took time, experimenting and a lot of patience to do this. It's totally amazing to see how my hair is growing. I just hope that I can "keep" it on my head.

tracy, i just looked at your picture in the gallery (the black hair pic, by the way I know that you don't like it, but I think the color looks great from the view of the pic that you posted) and I think that you have comed a long way, i remember when you were the feature of the month. Your hair has definitely grown alot this past year. Hang in there, because your hair looks lovely

My goal was to get as much growth as posssible and to take a break from relaxers, and I was able to do this . I recently got a touch up. Legnthwise, I got an inch or so of growth since June. So I gues I'm good, although my hair doesn't appear much longer, it is measuring longer.

I'm still in the process of completing my goal. My goal is to wear my hair in a protective style every day throughout the entire summer. I have been switching up between a curly ponytail and a wet bun. I have not seen my hair dry and hanging down since June 3rd.

Look on the bright side: that's a half an inch of pure growth a month that you have RETAINED . In a year that's six inches longer than you are now!

Don't look a gift horse in the mouth...

Well for me, I decided to rearrange my goals. Not contrating so much on length but on health. So yes I have achieve my goal which is healthy hair. I did a strand test recently and my hair stretched so far and did not break. That was a great accomplishment for me! The length is coming I am sure of that!

Congrats to everyone that met their hair goals

I had a little set back but overall I do think I have achieved my goal in having helathier hair. As far as length, I am still waiting on that one.

"Not I" says ComfotablyNumb.

Maybe I set unnattainable goals. Okay I did set unattainable goals. But I'm really not seeing any added length.

I'm sure it's there, but where?

My hair is alot thicker. But I still have alot more to go.

8 more inches to waist. I am setting that as my big goal for December 2004. I'm giving myself a whole lotta time to get there. So hair, this is a threat! Grow or see my wrath! You wouldn't want to have to see the scissors do you?!

By December 4th I think you can come close to your hair goal but maybe you need until january 2005 for your hair to grow that long. Comfortablynumb I am standing besides you on your goal because I would love my hair to grow to my bra strap by Feb. of 2004. Or for it to come 1 to 2 inches to it. I will stand by you with your goal so I hope you stand by me with your goal.

Boadicea - what is that at the bottom of your av's braid?

Back to the topic, since joining my first hair board back in February '03, i've grown about 3" of hair pre- relaxer in June. I am currently sporting an inch on my head in the front and about 1 1/2" in the middle and back (my hair grows funny like that), so I would say I've surpassed what I expected. Even my mother made it a point to say my hair looks like it's grown now i really think i'm cute... she's such a doll that Lady.
smile.gif
My hair is getting much stronger and healthier without the aids of vitamins and such so that's an extra for me (I tried the biotin and still have the tiny bumps as a reminder... never again. I do, however, take centrum or ultramega woman.) My ultimate goal is bra strap all over, to finally be rid of these darn layers AND to keep it all as thick and healthy as it is now. Once there, I'll probably cut it and start all over ... NOT!!!
