to do your hair..... a man or a women?
I have an appointment to go get my relaxer touchup (usually been doing them myself) but I don't think I have been doing a great job of it. I am almost 14 weeks post and have alot of newgrowth because of indian products. I made an appointment with a man stylist and he listened as I explained my concerns over the phone. I told him one of the main reasons why I stopped going to hair salons was because they always cut my hair more than I wanted or needed. He said "we are professionals at doing hair, but we also need to listen to the client. If the client doesn't want their hair cut or wants very little cut off, then we must do what they want". I was impressed because this is soooooo true. I gave him pertinent information about my hair and he asked how long it was. I told him it was around brastrap. I have been seeking/searching for a new stylist since January trying to get a "feel" for them and he was the only one that really listened to me and seems like he wants to help. My appointment with him is on saturday and I hope it will be a pleasant one. I'm a little nervous because it's been awhile since I've been to a hair salon and if he does a good job I want to start going at least once a month to get my hair professionally done. So in your experience which do you prefer women or men to do your hair.
