Flexi rods would give you this look. Ive been sporting this same curly look for the last 2 weeks. Its damn near maintenace free! LOL!

I purchased my rods at Sallys. I got the purple colored ones, I think those are the biggest sizes.

Pink Flower can you post step by step instructions on how you do your flexi rod set. I want to try it but not sure how to make the rods stay. How many packets of rods does it take to set your hair?

Thanks Pink_flower...I think that I will be getting the purple rods and smaller rods for the back...if I have to.

What about perm rods? I know how to handle perm rods, but I've never used flexi-rods. Are they similar...and does flexi-rods get tight enough?

Also, I have the same questions as Simplycee.:D

I bought 2 packs of 10 and I used them all. They were 6.99 too. I already had smaller flexis(red colored) on hand and I used 2 for my nape and 2 for my shortest layers in the front.

Basically just think of this as rollersetting but with different rollers :yep:
The flexis are very malleable so you can bend and shape to tighten or make more room

I do my regular wash routine and I begin to section of my hair. I start at the end of the flexi and I make a spiral upward. Once I reach my roots I hold the flexi tight with one hand and make a hook with the other. The end result should look like a backwards "P". I sometimes bend the end up just to make more room. But continue the same motion all over your head.

Im usually under the dryer for about an hour and I just finger comb the spirals.

Im not sure about perm rods, I know some people use them for spirals though. I just like how long the flexis are so I get a more wavy curl. I havent been able to find any perm rods that have the thickness and length like flexis.

Anyways I hope my explaination makes sense.
Ill try to take pics this weekend.

Thanks Pink Flower. I'm going to try this out this weekend. 1 hour under the dryer sealed the deal for me. If it looks decent I'll take pics.

All I want ot know is can you guys share pictures of the finished resutls? I LOVE flexi sets!

Kitchen_tician has some flexi-rod pics.

@Pink_flower
Once you bend the flexi-rod does it stay tight? It seems that way.

And you're saying that you start at the end of the rod and curl your hair up the rod until you get up to the roots?

Ok...I think I got it.

Also, I think that I need to get smaller rods in order to get more of a wave...because my hair is short. I really don't know though. I'll just have to really look at the sizes when I'm in the BSS and figure it out then.

Thanks Pink_flower

Something that I found while searching for flexi-rods online. Is this supposed to be easier? It looks like you bring the two ends together and it closes. Or do they connect to one another?
