I'll be relaxing after a couple of years being natural this week, specifically Monday.
Are there any other products you deem crucial in this process, like the reconstructor, conditoner.

Here are the products that I use:

Neutralizer shampoo: Proclaim (Sally's brand)
Protein reconstructor: Motions
Conditioner: Motions Moisture Plus

I wish you success with your relaxer.

Thank you, I'm a bit nervous but it's about time.

I use the Phytospecific relaxer kit, so I use the neutralizing poo that comes in the kit. I also use ORS Hair Mayo for a mid-relaxer protein treatment. I use a deep conditioner after washing with the neutralizing poo.

I use good ole Isoplus.
It dries my hair out though...

I was hoping that Affirm would include a neutralizing shampoo. I paid $55 for the kit, I saw it wasn't in there and as like dang!:ohwell:..:lachen:

Relaxer time..oh so long ago I preferred ISOPLUS because it had the color change signal. I think any color change neutralizer would be a good bet..you just keep rinsing until the foam is all white then rinse some more to be sure.

Yeah, I've heard that the color change neutralizer is ideal.

Thanks for the review, my hair gets dry very easily so this is good to know.

A good moisturizing conditioner immediately after the neutralizer would help then weekly moisture laden deep conditiners should combat dryness.

Silk Elements Neutralizing Shampoo, it doesn't have a color signal though.

I used Isoplus with the Color Guard (as a pecaution). Because I used the Neutralizing Conditioner that you use in conjunction with the Linange Relaxer and wanted to definitely make sure all of the Relaxer was O-U-T.

I adore Profectiv's neutralizing foam. It smells so good (like bananas!) and it's so rich and lush. I can never find it anywhere, though :(

GVP K-Pak and Porosity Control shampoo and conditioner are also fab to use during the relaxing process.

After rinsing out the relaxer, I apply K-Pak and let it sit for 5 mins. Rinse and neutralize x2. Rinse and use PC shampoo x2.

Dc for an hour (under the dryer) with a moisturizing con like Kenra MC. After rinsing out the dc, condition with PC for 5 minutes to close the cuticle for smooth, shiny hair.

It's a lot, but it works :)

I so want to try this one but have yet to see it anywhere in my area.

ETA: I was able to find this at the local bss finally. Of course it was only after looking up and down each aisle.
