Which metropolitan area does the best hair?

I live in Maryland, but I one-two step my butt up to NYC to get my hair cut and flatironed every 3 months. Before that, I used to ride a bus (yes, a bus) to Boston to get my hair pressed. People here in D.C. don't know what to do with natural hair. I had 3 different stylist burn my hair off while trying to do a press and curl (grrrr, bringing back bad memories).

I live in MD but I would never get my hair done in Baltimore, no offense to anyone so please don't rip me a new one if you love Bmore styles or are a stylist. But if you want to know why, take a trip to the Baltimore Harbor on a nice spring day and just sit outside and watch...your jaw will hit the floor when you see all the bee hives, FINGER WAVES, pin curls and "hair sprayed to death that if you touch her hair you'll cut your finger" curls. Oh gosh, your gonna make me go back into my box of pictures me and my friends used to sit and take of these women back in my college days just for laughs and PROOF...boy, those were the days But I digress....

That's why I love people watching at the Harbor. I'm amazed by the outfits and hairstyles on display.

Def. NYC. There really is no reason for one to be walking around with a messed up looking head when you can get a wash/set and deep condition for $10-$20. It is really not uncommon to see healthy long here up here. When I use to go to the Dom. salons, there have been times that i am in awe of some of the patrons hair .

Clowns...Losers...Whack... Suspect. All the same thing. We don't say bamma in Baltimore, though. That's a DC PG word. I had never heard it until I went to college in PG County. Huggy Lowdown always does "Bamma of the Week" on the Donnie Simpson Radio Show in DC.

Thanks bmoreflyygirl and rinygirl6 for clarifying what "bammas" were. I tell you, I also learn sooo much stuff on this site! So would you guys call us Texans bammas?
