I want to get individual box braids (a little longer than my own hair, layered as well) and I wanted to know which kind of hair would be better for it (I'm burning the ends so it has to be synthetic) .. Yaky hair or Kanekalon hair? I want them to be shiny! So can you ladies help me out? If you have a specific brand, please name it!

I use X-pression collection original Kanekalon non flammable ultra braid and Amina Jumbo 100% Kanekalon.

They are very light. I like these two brands because they have a range of colours.

Also, the X-pression can be dipped in hot water, is brushable and tangle free. It also looks like human hair and is very soft.

Since you wanna burn the ends i'd suggest Kanekalon, any brand will do as long as its 100% Kanekalon.

I second the other responses. Also, kanekalon doesn't slip out like yaki. When you dip them in hot water, it kind of seals them so they stay in longer.

Thanks for the responses ladies, Bailey I will see if I can find the X-pression you are talking about. :)
