I was looking for bulk grapeseed oil yesterday, and found some in the health market section at HyVee. I didn't pay attention until I got home, but it said refined.

Now, I have some NOW 100% Pure grapeseed oil and wondered if one was better than the other. I want to start using with SAA as a prePoo and want the best for the process.

Thank you ladies, as always, for your feedback

bumping..
i was wondering the same thing about emu oil. i think unrefined is better. it means its gone through less processes and is less changed from its orginal form.

I also found Avocado Oil (refined) and considered buying, but will hold off until I find out the difference.

I honestly do no kow which one is better, but I use refined organic and it seems to work wonderfully.

It depends on what your going to use it for. In general unrefined oils are better. They have have all of the nutrients left in them.

Refining the oils can take out some of the oils natural odor, smell, taste, can increase the flash point and the oils w/store longer before going rancid.

For example, of you like the consistancy of Olive oil, but hate the smell and find the taste to strong. You'd buy a refined Olive oil.

HTHs!

bump! Have some la tourangelle grapeseed oil. Doesn't say refined or unrefined. Just says pure and natural with an average 9.8 grams of omega 6. Anybody ever use this brand?
