Which do you think is the better protective style

Assume the hair is being hidden; would braids or a bun be better for retention? Not high manipulation small braids just a few braids compared to the hair pulled neatly together into a bun?

I would think braids b/c you can leave them unmanipulated longer whereas a bun you would need to renew daily.

I think a bun is good but braids would last longer and you can always wear your single braids in a bun.
