I use cholesterol for detangling and I personally like Lustrasilk. I've been using it for over 15 years now. I use it as a natural and I used it when I was relaxed as well.

It seems from the reviews I've read here that out of the two lekair/lustrasilk that it's eitherone or the other and my hair chose Lekair. I've used it off and on for about 15yrs.
And now (in the last 1-2yrs.) it's become a staple. I don't see myself straying from it ever again. Because it works well as a co-wash, dc, or base for my dc mixes. But I didn't like lustrasilk or maybe didn't give it much of a chance since I remembered that lekair had given good results years ago I went back to it and found new levels of conditioning success with it.

I've only tried the Lustrasilk and Queen Helene cholesterol. Lustrasilk made my hair feel kind of straw like. I love Queen Helene, it's my favorite dc thus far, I still have a lot more to try though.

I love Lekair Shea Butter Cholesterol as well as their Aloe Vera formula. Lustrasilk Olive Oil is pretty good too. I use them for DC'ing w/o adding anything to them.

I've only tried Lustrasilk. If you buy from Sally's you can return it if you don't like it. Just see what your hair likes. Most of the popular products others liked didn't do diddly for me.

So far it's LeKair for me. I tried Silk Elements, and I experience build up. Maybe I used too much. I'll give it a try again.

I've tried Lekair and Queen Helene...lekair has more slip but QH has more strengthening/thickening effects...I prefer QH

I have only used the green LustraSilk one when I was relaxed as a deep treatment after a wash. It gave my hair a lot of slip and made it much easier to detangle.

I LOVE LEKAIR! Silk Elements is really good too but Lekair is a staple because it doesnt have cones. I use Silk Elements in preparation for heat styling. The Lustrasilk did absolute nothing for me.

LeKair Cholesterol Plus with a little EVOO leaves my hair like velvet (usually...I've been fighting a dryness battle and all of my staples have been acting a little different right now I think due to change in relaxer formula). I tried LustraSilk Shea Butter Cholesterol and LustraSilk Cholesterol w/ Argan Oil and both left my hair feeling like straw.

Lustrasilk. I add shea butter and some oils (coconut/castor) to it and it's my daily moisturizer (and deep conditioner). The other brands I looked at had some ingredients I stay away from (like mineral oil or petrolatum in Lekair, and some other cholesterol brands)

I'm using Queen Helene right now, but I like all of them except Proclaim. I don't like any Proclaim products.

I've only used lustrasilk but I love it..I don't see myself switching any time soon. I add oils and honey to it too.
