 Lynnie!

I have the Gold N' Hot 1875 Watt Tourmaline Ionic Stand Dryer. It's great and I love it. Deep conditioning with this is so much better than when I was using my old vintage G. E. dryer...it's really great...the only thing is I have the tendency to pick it up and carry it as opposed to rolling it to the area where I'm going to use it..and sometimes I *hold* at the base which can lead to the helmet thingy popping off. :look: Um...I learned my lesson, lol. I can only compare it to my much older vintage dryer though...but I knew I wasn't going to get the Pibbs dryer because of the fans and this one was a good alternative for me.

So are you able fit large rollers under this one too?

Oh I have not used it for roller setting; my sole purpose was to get a new dryer since I do *all* of my deep conditioning and protein treatments with them and I wanted one where I can adjust it to any height (mainly so I can lurk on LHCF while I'm under there :look:). I *might* try roller setting one day but you might want to send LynnieB a private message; I think she gave her review on how well she was able to roller set and have the rollers fit comfortably while using this...she has the same dryer. I'll see if I can find the thread with her review.

Edited: Here is the thread where you can read about the dryer using large rollers (the gray ones)...also it's an older thread similar to this topic with reviews/hard hat dryer suggestions so you may find it useful.

Hey girl!!! :D

I did the same thing one time and said - whoops "i can't be doin that girl"

i'm working myself up to use it with some perm rods i got a few weeks ago, just don't want to take the time to actually roll up my hair (pitiful, eh).

anyway, glad to see you uncloak yourself ;)

Yeah, the first time it happened..I was like "Whoa  don't need to do that." Lol. I see you are still loving your dryer...I'm loving mine too. I'll check your fotki for updates...I'm interested in those perm rods..though I think when I tried it over a year ago my hair looked...let's just say I combed it out, lol.

I have a difficult to manage Gold N Hot. I'm sure this problem has been fixed on newer models, but there is a metal strip on the back of the hood that will burn your hair if you rest your head against it. I've had this one for about ten years. I will invest in a Pibbs towards the end of the year.

I have the same one. I got it because I needed more room for my rollers...my Conair was too small & took tooooo long to dry. I use the high temp for the first 30-40 minutes then switch to a cooler setting for the last 20 minutes.

BTW: Lynnie I like your hair;)
