I had the pink Ion hooded dryer for about a week or two, but now it's broken. My kitties knocked it over while I was in the shower. So now I'm looking for a new one. The Ion was nice but the hood was a litle small so I don';t want that one again.I figured maybe I could make a choice based on the dryers some of you have and why you like them.

I have a Gold-N-Hot 1400 watt dryer. I think the ION is the same build, with just a different motor, colors and options. I'm using orange and pink rollers, so I don't have a problem with fitting yet. I do like the Gold-N-Hot. It has four settings. I can dry my wigs and hairpieces on the cool setting. I can't sit under the hot setting for long. It takes about 50 minutes to dry my rollerset on the medium setting. I can also angle the hood in different positions.

My old, dead Lady Dazey was just about the same size. The Hot Tools hooded dryer is the same as that one.

After we move and have more space, I'm getting Pibbs that fits into a dryer chair or a stand-up BaByliss. By then, hopefully, I'll need the space for larger rollers.

Where can I get the Pibbs dryer from?

eBay has the Pibbs salon and the BaByliss stand up, in the auction and stores sections. Those are the ones that I meant.

Thanks for all your replies, so far I've been thinking about getting one of those stand up dryers. Maybe the Babybliss. I'm still not sure yet though.

I have the PINK ION DRYER TOO with the same concerns. The hood is so small. I'm going to need that PIBBS KWIK DRI when my hair gets longer for sure.

Do anybody know if the Babyliss stand up dryer is like the same size as the Ion dryer? They really should give a better discription of these dryers as far as the hood size goes.

I have the gold n hot 1200. I have never had a problem fitting under the dryer! I want to...but I don't!

I have this problem all the time. My hair isn't that long but it is thick although I think i can't fit because of the size of my head. What can I say... big brain.:ohwell: ;)

What size rollers are you using?

the pibbs i got on ebay was about 100 bux cheaper than this one!!

i love it!! even though i don't have anywhere to store it...

it's the stand up one BTW.

Yeah, I have seen them cheaper on other sites too. They say that the price match though so maybe you can still get it from them for less than what they are asking.

 Lynnie!

I have the Gold N' Hot 1875 Watt Tourmaline Ionic Stand Dryer. It's great and I love it. Deep conditioning with this is so much better than when I was using my old vintage G. E. dryer...it's really great...the only thing is I have the tendency to pick it up and carry it as opposed to rolling it to the area where I'm going to use it..and sometimes I *hold* at the base which can lead to the helmet thingy popping off. :look: Um...I learned my lesson, lol. I can only compare it to my much older vintage dryer though...but I knew I wasn't going to get the Pibbs dryer because of the fans and this one was a good alternative for me.

Hey girl!!! :D

I did the same thing one time and said - whoops "i can't be doin that girl"

i'm working myself up to use it with some perm rods i got a few weeks ago, just don't want to take the time to actually roll up my hair (pitiful, eh).

anyway, glad to see you uncloak yourself ;)
