Where would you trim/cut it?

This is NOT my hair. This a youtuber. I wanted to ask you all, if it was your hair to what line # on the growth shirt would you trim/cut it? Or would you just leave it alone & see if it thickens up?

I'm trying to get an idea of lhcf views as it pertains to ends. There's no shade intended on my part against her or her hair.

SistaWithRealHair is a pretty aggressive trimmer herself; I remember her methods getting a lot of criticism here when she first came on the scene.

That said, I don't know if there's an "LHCF consensus" when it comes to trimming. Some folks are die hard about its necessity, and others doubt its utility altogether. If one's priority is length first and foremost, they'll likely hold on to thin (although not damaged; that's of no use to anyone) ends. If one's priority is aesthetics, they may trim away thin ends often to maintain the look, even if there's nothing wrong with them per se.

Sista's ends look healthy and blunt, but since she's not trimming as often or as much as she did before, they're probably just growing at different rates as hair tends to do. If this were my head (especially since she PS'es with wigs so often), I'd likely leave it alone until the majority of my hair reached my length goal.

I'm scissor happy myself and would probably trim it to the number 12. But that's just me and that's why I'm in the no trimming thread bc I would trim even when not needed. Sigh...her hair is beautiful though and probably doesn't even need it.

Probably 16 (if any)...her ends look pretty good. Just because they're not even doesn't mean they're in bad shape.

If I were out for aesthetics, 14.

If I were out for length, no trimming necessary. The hair isn't damaged. I'd probably style in a way that would keep the ends from looking apparently wispy... I'd also step up my ps'ing game ASAP.

Does she wear her hair down often? If so, I'd trim to 14.
If not, I'd let it be unless the ends were damaged. For damaged ends, I'd trim to 16.
