I need help! I am in the process of having a career change and I want to change my look. I have been in the military for a long time an over the years my hair has experienced heavy combat! a few months ago I cut my hair down to the new growth yet again (6th time in 18 years) after a bad chemical treatment by a "professional" so my hair now is 3 to 4 inches long but very healthy. I've been wearing braids but they do not fit "my" corporate style vision.

So I've decided on a curly weave style that I can put in an up do, purchased some very expensive hair for weaving and now I just need to find a stylist that not only can install the hair but is truly blessed with creative and artistic ablility.

Over the past 4 months I have spent too much money at the hads of "professionals" without the desired results.

Please is anyone can make recommendations of stylist or salons with in the Northern Virginia Area, Washinton DC or even Maryland area, please provide there web addresses and/or photo.

I don't live in VA so I cannot make any recommendations, however, I did notice that this is your first post, so I wanted to say Welcome :)

Hi SIDsGirl!:)
I live in the area. I don't really do the stylist thing alot because of trust issues, but I have gone to Sheldeez in Herndon, VA a couple of times. Granted their online billing system may be a bit shady:lol: , but Sheldonna (the owner) did a really good job on my hair.

She listened to what I wanted and was very gentle. She also pays close attention to the health of your hair. I'm not sure if she does braids herself, but I know that a couple of the ladies in her shop do. That's the only recommendation I have. To get an appointment with the owner, you have to book WAY in advance though.
