Greetings!

I'm having trouble finding the introduction board:( . I have to head off to work now and really wanted to ask a few questions and come home to some answers. Can you move this to the proper area? I'd appreciate it;)

I need help. My last relaxer was January 12. I need some good advice for shampoos and conditioners and anything that can increase hair strength and growth. I use a CHI iron to straighten the roots from time to time but not too often. I know to wrap my hair, silk pillow case and all of that. I just need to know what to do with transitioning hair.

I'm hoping my scalp will be healthier. It's very dry and flaky. I'm done with chemical burns from relaxer! That just should not be!

Oh, I'm also taking BioSil from Jarrow products. I've been doing that for a month. Anyone else use it? Is this legitimate?

Anyhoo! Sound advice would be welcomed and appreciated.

Have a PRODUCTIVE day! :)

Welcome to LHCF!! We dont have a seperate section for introductions but there is a thread in the OT forum you can introduce yourself in.

Here is another.

Most people just introduce themselves in the hair forum, telling us a bit about themselves, their hair, their goals or asking a question they need help on.

This is a link to all the hair "stickies". These are threads that were so informative that we felt everyone should take a look. The thread is also found at the top of the hair section.

I will move this thread to the hair section so you can get a response to the questions you posed. Again, welcome and enjoy your stay!! :)

In the sticky's that you were given there is a section for newbies that you have to read by DSD....I read that and there was so many answers to questions that I had and ones that I hadn't even formed yet.

If you are transitioning and finding it hard to keep up with your two textures, because moisturizing is a must!!!!! The dryness you are feeling needs to be resolved ASAP I would do a search for the transitioners thread and read those. Personally, I use my water based moisturizer and seal it with oil 2 times a day. It works for me. But nothing works better than protective styles and keeping out of my hair! If you have any more questions please feel free to post and I am sure that someone will be able to give you some great advice.
