I am going next week to England,France,Italy,Switzerland,Holland,Germany(maybe).Does anyone know if any of these places has hard water?

Living in Germany now - the water tends to be VERY hard in my area (Batten Wurttenburg :sp? - Heidelberg). If you go to a nice hotel chain - say 4 stars or more, they have treated water there so your hair should be OK. If you go to a cheaper place, you might want to invest in some sort of water filter. Even the natives in my area don't drink water from the tap

They filter it.

For washing purposes, I had to purchase a shower water filter. Works really great - my hair comes out better using this type of shower filter than using the soft water from home (in the States)

Thanks Mufasa.I will be going to Heidelberg but I think the hotel is a good one so I hope the water will be treated.
But actually just to be safe,I just won't wash my hair when I am in Germany.
