Just curious. Does anyone know the process? Also, how do they make synthetic hair?

My younger sister had yarn twists in her hair and it caused her to break out all over her scalp, face and back. My experience with foreign hair has been similar. Although yarn is different than hair, this occurence has sparked my interest in the hair retailing process.

I don't know about the manufacturing process, but I can tell you where indian human hair comes from.

There is a temple in India(I forgot what it's called), where thousands and thousands of indian people go to pay homage to their God. I think they go once a year? Well anyway, the way they worship and express their devotion at this temple is to cut off all their hair and lament. The men and women go to a section befor they enter the temple and cut off all their hair, then take the hair before the altar. At the end of the day, all the hair is collected and sold. The proceeds are used to support the temple. By the end of each day the amount of hair left is around 2000 pounds of hair maybe more, now remeber how light hair is...so that's A LOT of hair.
