Yesterday i took out my hair and i was really pleased with my results I had done everytihing i needed to do to it over the last month.Surge,Vitamins CO washes etc.And i was reaping the rewards .I had some shedding/breakage whilst combing it out it was arund the usual size of a small afro puff hair piece so it didnt bother me

I put a mixture of Coconut oil and almond oil on my hair as a pre poo treatment and went to bed.I woke up and washed in sections then conditione with my tresemme conditioner mixed with Indola protein treamment I left it on for 30 mins and washed out everthing was perfect.

Then i went to get it done....Thats were it all went wrong when the women started my hair it was fine but towards the end there was enough hair to fill my bathroom sink .She didnt blowdry my hair so i didnt know y my hair was breaking .By the end the left side of my hair looked drastically shorter then it did at the start.

Where did i go wrong ????

My hair at the moment is looking not to good becasue the kanerowist was a amature who couldnt speak english

Is your hair natural or relaxed? I'm not familar with "indola protein treatment" but if it is strong protein, then perhaps you needed follow-up with a good moisturizing conditioner. Proteins can leave hair hard and stiff, which COULD cause breakage if braiding (manipulation) immediately afterwards.

My hairs natural . the protin trealtment is very light and when i looked at the ingredients there werent tht much protein.

Then it could be you don't need protein. If I understand correctly, proteins are really useful for repairing & restructuring hair that has been exposed to chemicals (perms, colors, relaxers, bleaches, etc.) and that if hair is natural and in good health, then probably don't need protein becuase cuticle is already intack. I'm just guessing here . . .

NO my hair has been thorugh the mills it was severly damaged by heat on a regular basis b4 i strted researhcing etc.And my edges and hairline are extremly fragile.

I didnt think she was [articualry heavy ahnded and i gve her my special comb to use and tried to explain that i didnt want the rattail going through my hair

it is so depressing all that ahrd work is just gonna be swppt up by the end of the day .I dont know what else i can do .
I thought i had my regime sussed obviously not !

If you have a lot of oil in your hair or conditioner mixed with oil and you leave it in overnight or for several hours...apply a little shampoo to the hair WHILE THE HAIR IS DRY FIRST, ADD IN A LITTLE BIT OF warm WATER TO BREAK DOWN THE OILS, then add more warm water gradually. Do all this before you begin to rinse out your hair with water or do your shampooing under the shower or in the sink. Your hair is caked and the oil and conditioner have set on the hair strands and need to be dissolved off first(via the method mentioned) otherwise the amount of manipulation required is very stressful to the hair and the main reason, you have to get rid of the OIL SLICK EFFECT ON YOUR HAIR FIRST!!!!. This can also happen just with conditioner or cholesterol left on too long. Found this out through personal experience. Hope this helps.
