Open the vent? Good googly moogly it's hot under here I can't sit under no more than 5 min before the top of my head is on fire? If I open the vents will my hair reap the benifits.

TIA

Sometimes you have to use a thicker conditioner.

I use ORS Replenishing Pak try it it's $1.19 at Sally's.

Banana Brulee, Silk Elements Creme Tub MegaSilk
Mix a little Porosity control so that your hair can absorb the moisture. Clarify before you do this so that you can start on a clean canvas. :)

Please let me know how your hair is doing afterwards :)

When I use the steamer, I do not open the vents. But, I am always cold so the heat does not bother me.

I keep them closed for the first 20 minutes or so and then when I feel it's getting too warm I open them. I don't want the heat to damage my hair's cuticles.

Also, I wear this and ear guards over my ears when I'm under the steamer:

Neither do I, but then I have variable heat settings so I can turn the temperature down if need be.

What is the point of a steamer? How does it help your hair/face?
