When you cowash or DC, how much condish do you use?

I'm REALLY heavyhanded when it comes to applying conditioner, especially my DC. About how much conditioner do you add to your hair? I'm still sporting my TWA, fyi.

Do you notice any difference in your hair when you add more conditioner vs. less? :spinning:

I can relate. I always used to put gobs and gobs of conditoner on. About 3 or 4 oz per use.

Now I use about 1 oz each time. What helps me to use less is to rub it in your hands before appying. I used to just take a bunch on my fingers and splat it on. Now I apply it more like lotion. Rub it between the palms and then apply to the whole hair shaft.

Just keep in mind that you only need a lightish coating because your hair can really only absorb so much at a time.

im heavy handed too when it comes to condish and DC. but for a leave in and daily moisturizer i follow the dime size rule:yep:

VERY HEAVY HANDED, & I'm relaxed, my co-wash condish doesn't cost more than $3.00 bucks so one bottle lasts 2-3 washes.

I cowash and deep condition in cornrows, so I don't use alot of products at all. Maybe 3 tbsp to deep condition and 2 tbsp to cowash. If I was deep conditioning and cowashing my hair loose, I'd use alot more. Maybe five times as much!

ETA: A bottle of trader joe's nourish spa lasts me a month with daily cowashing. A bottle of aubrey organics conditioner (my deep conditioner) lasts me a few months.

Deep Conditioners if it is 16oz I use half the jar. With the cheap conditioners (Sauve, VO5, etc) I use half the bottle. I have to my hair is thick and I need to be able to get a comb through it:ohwell:. If I am not able to comb through my hair I look like a H.A.M (Hot *** Mess):nono:
With leave ins I use two dime size for half my hair.
