When PREPOOing w/ oil, do u drench ur hair?

I'm kinda confused cuz i usually prepoo with conditioner with oil mixed in. But i know some ladies just use oils.

when u just use oils, do u completely saturate ur hair in the oil??? or do u do it as u normally would seal?

I don't pre-poo with oil alone for that reason. I mix the oil with conditioner so I can use up both at one time.

Im heavy handed with it as well- I want to get it in every strand. I lightly mist with water, add oil to my hair Then I put the plastic bag over my head

I bend over a dishpan and POUR it over my hair, squeeze it through every strand until it's no longer dripping, then cover with a plastic cap.

I too just drench it in oil & put on a plastic cap for about an hour or more and I really feel a difference in my hair when I pre poo with oil first. I tried it with conditioner but it didn't feel the same as with oil alone.

I wouldn't say that I drench it per se, but I do use a lot to make sure that my hair is thoroughly covered.

I pre-poo with amla oil, i think i drench my hair in the oil because its more than what i would normally use if i was using an oil on a daily basis.

I end up using 2 cap fulls of my amla oil which i don't think is too much.

I drench that mug...it makes detangling easier and my hair loves it.
