Jeremiah 29:11b, "I know what I'm doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for." (MSG)
Genesis 24:15-33

So the servant gave Abraham his word that he would do everything he had been told to do. Soon after that, the servant loaded ten of Abraham's camels with valuable gifts. Then he set out for the city in northern Syria, where Abraham's brother Nahor lived. When he got there, he let the camels rest near the well outside the city. It was late afternoon, the time when the women came out for water. The servant prayed: You, LORD, are the God my master Abraham worships. Please keep your promise to him and let me find a wife for Isaac today. The young women of the city will soon come to this well for water, and I'll ask one of them for a drink. If she gives me a drink and then offers to get some water for my camels, I'll know she is the one you have chosen and that you have kept your promise to my master.

While he was still praying, a beautiful unmarried young woman came by with a water jar on her shoulder. She was Rebekah, the daughter of Bethuel, the son of Abraham's brother Nahor and his wife Milcah. Rebekah walked past Abraham's servant, then went over to the well, and filled her water jar. When she started back, Abraham's servant ran to her and said, "Please let me have a drink of water." [18] "I'll be glad to," she answered. Then she quickly took the jar from her shoulder and held it while he drank. After he had finished, she said, "Now I'll give your camels all the water they want." She quickly poured out water for them, and she kept going back for more, until his camels had drunk all they wanted. Abraham's servant did not say a word, but he watched everything Rebekah did, because he wanted to know for certain if this was the woman the LORD had chosen.

The servant had brought along an expensive gold ring and two large gold bracelets. When Rebekah had finished bringing the water, he gave her the ring for her nose and the bracelets for her arms.

Then he said, "Please tell me who your father is. Does he have room in his house for me and my men to spend the night?"
She answered, "My father is Bethuel, the son of Nahor and Milcah. We have a place where you and your men can stay, and we also have enough straw and feed for your camels." Then the servant bowed his head and prayed, "I thank you, LORD God of my master Abraham! You have led me to his relatives and kept your promise to him."

It's also how God ALREADY anticipates,ANSWERS and fulfills our needs sometimes before it is even formed into a prayer.

Please share your testimonies. :)

I honestly did not think of the soulmate part....but I love that
you did...and I love that the servant prayerfully considered....

When God answers before....
It's happened to me ..and it's freaked me out in a good way that while
my head was bowed...... the phone rang or something happened to answer my prayer and I would just have to sit back
and say

WOW GOD...
and sit there shaking my head in tears

This is also partial confirmation that the desires we have (for good) have been placed there by God to fulfill His purpose in our lives and when He answers something beforehand, we're just fulfilling that which He has already placed within us. To us, it feels like we got a big bag of candy, just what we wanted and we're shocked about it. But to God, it must be just another step He's placed our foot onto in this great road of life. I love those confirmations. Thanks for this thread. Timely.

This is a secular song but it says so much of what I feel and what I'm going through. The ghosts and darkness are those fears within and everything related to them. When I address them head on, they've got no place but to fall and shatter:

John Mayer

Come out Angels
Come out Ghosts
Come out Darkness
Bring everyone you know

I'm not running
I'm not scared
I am waiting and well prepared

I'm in the war of my life
At the door of my life
Out of Time and theres no where to run away

I've got a hammer
And a heart of glass
I got to know right now
Which walls to smash

I got a pocket
Got no pill
If fear hasn't killed me yet
Than nothing will

All the suffering
And all the pain
Never liked to label

Im in the war of my life
At the door of my life
Out of time and there's nowhere to run

I'm in the war of my life
At the core of my life
I've got no choice but to fight til it's done

No more suffering
No more pain
Never again

I'm in the war of my life
At the door of my life
Out of time and there's no where to run

I'm in the war of my life
I'm at the core of my life
Got no choice but to fight til it's done
So Fight on, fight on everyone, so fight on
Got no choice but to fight til its done

I'm in the war of my life
I'm at the core of my life
I've got no choice but to fight til it's done

I went out on a limb and said a HOLY YES...it's actually IS sum total and DIVINE confirmation
and how beautifully stated....you said what I am too hesitant to say
which is a lack of faith issue on my part....but it's happened as you articulated..I love how secular music too can...be a gentle reminder God is everywhere
Thank you

Genesis 24:34-67
I silently prayed, "You, LORD, are the God my master Abraham worships, so please lead me to a wife for his son while I am here at the well. When a young woman comes out to get water, I'll ask her to give me a drink. If she gives me a drink and offers to get some water for my camels, I'll know she is the one you have chosen." Even before I had finished praying, Rebekah came by with a water jar on her shoulder. When she had filled the jar, I asked her for a drink.

Re: When God answers your prayers before you've even finished praying..before the pra

I have a testimony...I think I just didn't really realize it comes under this category

I have had a hernia condtion for many years ever since I did pull-ups at the gym and felt a painless pop in the midsection..it went ignored until one day many months later jogging in Parque Central in Guatemala...I felt a small bulge. I remember that morning cas my prayer devotional book had been stolen on the bench. That's when I felt the bulge

The doctors did not believe me as it was retractable ..it slips right back in and my stomach is flat again...When they finally did it was considered elective surgery as many people simply live with it..some hernias grow to the size of a small watermelons and folks just live with it

only in the last three years has it been more noticeable..more fixed
and I had to wear babydoll type dresses so it would not be noticed...people thought I was pregnant ALL THE TIME. I was brought in this last time in the ER.... all I heard was..is she pregnant...are you pregnant ...could you be pregnant...we are testing you for pregnancy :lachen:

I felt horrible about having a hernia...it began to dominate my life..intruded on everything....dating...I got sick on a date....work...I fainted at work! I had to cancel social or work plans on a moment's notice as the pain could start anytime. Then there were repeated ambulance escorts to the ER after agonizing stomach pain for hours. I'd been a strong healthy woman..NEVER been in an ambulance~.and soon it became more than once. Sometimes I would go weeks without pain almost forget about it ...but then there was that bulge in my belly..I didn't feel like a girl :nono:

I said to myself..I refuse to live this way..I'm getting this fixed THIS YEAR. No,I don't have the funds..but I still researched places that specialized in hernia repair ...and I had no idea with my busy sched..WHEN I could do this
and not disrupt my teaching ..etc..I prayed about it hard and often

three weeks ago in the ER..before the decision for surgery....when the doctors said ...you need to stay..it was more of a reccomendation and I said no I'm not staying....it was only when the doctors came back and said ...YOU CANT LEAVE BECAUSE IT'S TOO DANGEROUS...WE ARE NOT LETTING YOU GO...YOU ARE BEING ADMITTED/SCHEDULED FOR IMMEDIATE SURGERY...I saw ...God's hand answering my prayer about getting my hernia repaired

but the part I didn't even get a chance to really pray for..before I could even form into prayer was that my surgery was laparoscopic....I researched that was not the best choice for hernia depending on who does it and I would not have chosen it...I would have chosen an across the belly incision
which would have left an unsightly scar..maybe more pain? But since it was laparoscopic..the only marks surgery has left are only these...small round wounds..there were seven and only three are even visisble

they don't look like wounds! ...they look like purplish chicken pox and slightly bigger.....none are even close to the size of thumb! they are tiny incisions
size wise..are more like literal thumb 'nail' size.. they are that small and resemble nothing of a major surgery. I am going to a dermatologist in two weeks for a consult and showing them to her so they can treated...BEFORE they heal and then scar...But even if I treated them with vit-e oil...
they are so small I think they'd be fine.

When had to call the Dr's office....the hernia surgeon's office..
for an appointment for the followup post-op surgery exam
...the phone is answered
THIS IS THE CENTER FOR MINIMALLY INVASIVE SURGERY

I had NO idea....but that's what I had...had
a...minimally invasive surgery! even though I now know that's
the textbook definition of laparoscopy..it really shows ..it was!
God answered my prayer about hernia surgery but to leave my stomach
afterwards....as if nothing had EVER happened? I didn't even have thought to
put that into prayer ....
