When do you worry about breakage?

Since I've joined the site I have reduced my breakage significantly. I know that I will never be 100% breakage free, but I was wondering how much breakage do you guys consider to be worrisome. TIA for responses!:yep:

I basically only get breakage when I'm in my 20th week of stretching or beyond. For the most part, any breakage to me is worrisome. Whenever I see a fallen strand, I'm analyzing the end to make sure I see a white bulb at the end. If so, I know it is natural shedding. Then, I take a big sigh of relief.

When I keep my hair in one style for too long, I get breakage in some areas.

I'm actually experiencing some breakage right now, but I'm not too concerned about it. It is a result of taking down my locs. I would be concerned if everytime I touched/rubbed my hair, I came back with hair covered palms or if my hair started to thin out. But if it's just a few broken pieces, it's normal--no worries.

I really never see broken hairs unless it's my detangling day (and even that's not very much). Adopting a low manipulation regimen has helped reduce mine from ~11/day (which I thought was normal) to pretty much zero.

I worry about breakage when I wear my hair flat-ironed straight. I get so paranoid since my hair brushes against my shoulders and back. I'll wear it out for a day then I'm back to bunning for 3-months. That's when the paranoia wears off :drunk:

i think low manipulation/protective styling has helped me with my breakage

i havent even been doing it that long,
but i've noticed that both of the times i washed/dc'ed
my hair in my twists this week
i only lost about 3 to 5 hair pieces

the thing i really have to pay attention to now
is when i do my twist takedown and detangling session
i know there'll be more lost hair then
but i'm going to try to minimize it as much as i can.

I worry about it on wash days. Other than that I don't really see much breaking or shedding. Luckily wash days are only once a week.
