So, i am excited still...but i need to form my regimen. Right now, it is all out of wack, and i need some advice! Any advice as to what would be the best regimen for me? I have not had a relaxer in six months, so i have been doing the curly wash and go daily, or bunning. I would like to grow my hair APL very soon, so i want to start something that would help promote that growth! I have a bad tight ponytail habit:ohwell: that i have been trying to knock, and i am getting a little better with protective styling, but i need something concrete. Please help!!!! I would love to see what your current regimens are to get more ideas.

2-3 x's a week, shampoo and dc for an hour

Daily, take down my bun and saturate it with Hawaiian Silky 14 in 1 and bun it back up

Relax every 16 weeks

:)

Wow, and your hair is beautiful! I have never tried Hawaiian Silky 14 in 1 --- how does it leave the hair feeling when wet?

Once a week I:
I dry deep-condition (over-night)
Shampoo
Twist my hair with Shea butter and Giovanni Direct leave-in
Air-dry
Every 2-3 days I apply MT mixed with oils to my scalp as a leave in.

I haven't purchased any MT yet, but i really really want to. I know that it will be great for my hair. I used to wash daily...and my hair was getting drier and drier...now that i discovered cowashing, it seems to be better. I totally agree with the overnight DC! thanks!

Daily - Moisturize with garnier-fructis strength & repair conditioner. seal with evoo. I used evoo on my scalp.

In the fall/winter- co-wash 2x a week with Suave conditioner. DC with Queen Helene cholesterol 1x a week.

(In the spring/summer I co-wash daily.)

I relax every 8 weeks. I do a aphoghee treatment for damaged hair every 6 weeks.

What is EVOO again :nono: LOL!

My hair is in between curly and straight now, so i am trying to find different ways to wear it without it looking weird. I am loving your bun, where did you find your accessories? Also, where did you buy Boundless Tresses, and what has it done for your hair so far?

Thanks for responding :)

Well its been two weeks since I relaxed (texlaxed) and I already have new growth. I think its a combination of everything.

If I get what I want my the end of the year I start a thread with pictures if not well....

my accessories are beads (from when I use to braid my daughters hair) I stick those on a amish hair pin to decorate the bun

My regimen is basically:

- co-wash once per week, then rollerset
- if there is buildup, shampoo then add a leave-in and rollerset
- comb/detangle only when hair is wet; fingercomb when dry
- wear hair in a bun or pinned up
- moisturize once per day
- self-relax every 13 weeks, at which time I DC and protein treat
- protect hair from rough surfaces and at bedtime
- no trimming until after a major goal is reached
- leave hair alone as much as possible (low manipulation)

Prepoo w/ conditioner mixed w/ Patience's Hair Growth Oil
Wash/set/DC once a week
Cowash 1-2 times a wk
relax every 10-12 wks
apply Patience's Hair Growth Oil every other day for scalp treatment
Protective Styling:yep:

Ghee Treatment???? Please elaborate ma'am!!!

I just revamped my regime because I was getting a lot of split ends and

my hair was always dry even though I HARDLY ever use heat :ohwell:!!!!!!! I

was using the Joico Kpak and Keracare humecto but I think all the cones

and the sulfates from the shampoo (I was washing far too much like

everyday) were killing my hair. And it was a FAR 2 expensive a regime for

me to maintain.

Anyway my new regime is this:

1. prepoo overnight with vatika oil, 2. wash hair with aritha shampoo bar

(still waiting for the bar so no review yet), 3. detangle and lightly

condition with any cheap conditioner like herbal essences 4. do an ACV

rinse, 5. apply vegetable glycerine, 6. seal with almond oil.

I now want to wash twice a week so on the second wash I will prepoo

with Amla oil (30-40 mins under dryer) instead of the vatika overnight

prepoo.

If I need protein I will use mayonnaise and an egg.

If I need moisture I will DC with Joico moisture recovery from the stash I

have left.

Oh yeah at night I twist my hair into a bun and cover my hair with a satin

do-rag

Cowash daily then wrap in a silk scarf.
4g MSM, 1g L-cysteine, 100mg Grapeseed, 1g Vit C every night
Steam on weekends
Beemine at night (idk how much this is working. sigh)

1. Wash ( Henna Vatika Conditioning Shampoo or Creme of Nature green bottle) and dc, once a week, rotating between a light protein conditioner ( Motions Cpr Treatment, Aubrey Organic GPB, etc) and a moisturizing conditioner ( Keracare Humecton)
2. Co wash twice a week. (Suave Professional line Humecto, Tropical Coconut)
3. Ponytail with my ends baggied. I seal my ends with (Profective Healthy ends and Jamacian Black Castor Oil)
4. No heat for me:nono: unless dcing.
5. Vitamins (when I feel like it:spinning:) Biotion 5 mcg, Viviscal, B-50 Complex, Evening Primrose Oil.
6. BT (when I feel like it:yep:)
7. When I wear my hair down I just undo my bun for nice big waves.
8. No combing for me:nono:
9. Overnight oil treatment (weekly) ( Bhrijahimi oil,Shakaki Oil, Alma Oil or Vatika Coconut Oil)*can't spell correctly right now..I'm at work and can't read the bottle:/) I have gotten relatively lazy with growth aids and vitamins since I've reached BS but I'm going to get back on the grind cause winter is fastly approaching, so I could use that extra growth:-)

That's all I can think of right now:lachen:

Oh, relax between 11-12 weeks.
