What\'s your New Hair\'s Resoluation?

My list

No more PJism. I'm sticking with the Nexxus line for now, may switch up in the summer, but that's it for me.

No more layers. I swore when my hair was long that if I ever cut it short, I was never going to get layers...some of the hairstyles I see on this forum really make me want layers.

Less is more The less I do, the more hair I have.

No more hatin' I am not gonna hate on CaramelHonee, ChocolatePrincess, MsPortugal (and a bunch of other ladies) for having BEE-u-tiful hair /images/graemlins/lachen70.gif

Re: What\'s your New Hair\'s Resoluation?

NO more PJism..or at least try and control it /images/graemlins/look.gif
Keep it simple

Re: What\'s your New Hair\'s Resoluation?

No more PJism for me either. I need to stop picking up stuff just because it is a good deal!!

Keep being as consistent as I have because it pays off.

Try to finish all of the challenges I join.

Re: What\'s your New Hair\'s Resoluation?

To wear my hair out while not straightened with flatiron...

I'm falling in love with my hair and finding that it's beautiful no matter what state it in... whether curly, kinky, nappy or straight.

Re: What\'s your New Hair\'s Resoluation?

To wear more protective styles.
Trim only as needed...and no more layering.
Stay with the wig challenge.

Re: What\'s your New Hair\'s Resoluation?

Sticking with a consistant line of products that work for me - No unnecessary experimentation and trial and error.

Sticking with a simple workable regimen that works for me - the basics. The wildest change so far has been a pre poo treatment, which has helped me GREATLY. NEVER thought about doing until I found this great site.

Continue to baby my ends.

Continue to hate on Kitchen_tician, Lulu, SouthernGirl, teenie, CCD, AJamericanDiva, Carlie, Isis, Nay, Beverly...oooh...that crazy chick CaramelHonee, Chocolate Princess...and countless others.

I'm playin'...I'm playin'! Don't cut me... /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Re: What\'s your New Hair\'s Resoluation?

keep heat to a minimum
give more compliments even if they arent received well
get to know my local hair friends better
increase growth rate 4-5 in is cool but 6-8 would be bomb!!!

Re: What\'s your New Hair\'s Resoluation?

To keep up my stable regimen.
To finally go through with it and start my 2 year transition to natural after reaching brastrap.
Be more consistent with my vitamins.

Re: What\'s your New Hair\'s Resoluation?

1)Stay consistent with my regimen.
2)Stop slacking with my deep conditioning
3)Go back to my pre-shampoo peppermint oil scalp treatment that gave me all that growth!
4)Do the baggie method more consistently

Re: What\'s your New Hair\'s Resoluation?

Figure out how to do a decent looking blow out that'll help me stretch.

Only the LAWD can help me with the PJism.

I'm very close to my goal of brastrap (I'll know more after my touchup this weekend.) My New Year's hair resolution is to maintain - keep doing what I'm doing while I grow out the layers in my hair. When my hair is all even I'll decide whether I want it even longer. /images/graemlins/scratchchin.gif

Re: What\'s your New Hair\'s Resoluation?

I resolve to

1. rollerset and relax my hair at home rather than defaulting to the salon,

2. stick to MSM and biotin as supplements while eating more protein,

3. use up the products I bought over the last 1.5 years without shopping for (many) more,

4. wear more braidouts to accomodate new growth and to add volume to my fine hair when it's straightened.

Re: What\'s your New Hair\'s Resoluation?

Go back to doing pre-poo treatments, go back to using surge consistently, and go back to being consistent with my vitamins.

1. Wear my hair in a french braid more instead of in a ponytail.

2. Continue to stretch my trims out to six months, and my touch ups to eight. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

3. Take progress pics.

Re: What\'s your New Hair\'s Resoluation?

1. Always have my hair done. You never know who you're going to run into /images/graemlins/wink.gif

2. Rollersets...rollersets...Rollersets...fo life!

3. Find a way to subtlely bring my phonybun w/ me when I have a bad hair day. /images/graemlins/sekret.gif

4. Wear my hair in a bun (phony until I have my own) when I go clubbing..... NO MORE HAIR SWEATOUTS! /images/graemlins/swearing.gif period.

5. Leave that direct heat alone! Wait, just imagine how cool that would be? /images/graemlins/scratchchin.gif

6. Be more consistent w/ my hair pics. I need the motivation to keep steppin!

7. Try a weave. /images/graemlins/shocked.gif

8. Decide what to do about retouches? Salon /images/graemlins/look.gif or self?

Re: What\'s your New Hair\'s Resoluation?

* Take my supplements consistently.
* Retouch only 3-4 times per year.
* Stick with my hair care regimen.

Re: What\'s your New Hair\'s Resoluation?

My Resolutions:

1) BE CONSISTENT!
2) No PJism
3) Keep my regimen simple
4) Stick to my challenges /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Re: What\'s your New Hair\'s Resoluation?

1. Stick to wearing weaves until May at least.
2. Not buy many more products.
3. Learn to braid
4. Increase styling capabilities

Re: What\'s your New Hair\'s Resoluation?

-Try the baggie method (I'm going to see how it goes month per month)
-Be consistent (e.g. drinking 2litres of water per day & a glass of carrot juice really helps my hair & skin)
-Continue with extending my touch-ups

I'm sure there are more /images/graemlins/scratchchin.gif

Re: What\'s your New Hair\'s Resoluation?

Wear more bun & twists...
That's gonna be difficult cuz I luv my "shake n go's" /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Re: What\'s your New Hair\'s Resoluation?

1. Be patient (on wash days and generally with my growth rate)
2. Preshampoo faithfully
3. Cut down on all these d@mned product purchases /images/graemlins/wallbash.gif
4. Find a good trimmer that's thorough and doesn't trim too much

ETA: 5. Cutting down my vitamin intake to the essentials (popping all these pills is getting tired quickly)
