What's your fave My Honey Child product?

I'm in search of a good moisturizer/butter. I'm trying to switch to natural products and I saw that My Honey Child has a good soy butter. I also noticed she has LOTS of other moisturizers (kind of overwhelming). Sooo, what are your recommendations????

I like the soy butter. It is very moisturizing. I like the spreadability and I apply it in the shower when my hair is wet. Her website is overwhelming so that is the one I stuck with. Also soy is a protein product so if you're protein sensitive you might want to try another one.

I liked the Caribbean hair cream and type 3 hair cream at first but I found her formulations inconsistent. One order would be nice and fluffy and thick. The next order was soupy. Not to mention her shipping costs were ridiculous given my concerns with the variations in consistency.

I've recently purchased some of these products and I bought samples of the Honey Hair Mask, Molasses deep treatment, twist out cream, and aloe vera leave-in treatment. I really like the aloe vera leave-in treatment so I just ordered the 8 oz size. The twist out cream is good and I've had good results using it for my twisted rod set . I just ordered a sample of the buttery soy cream to compare it with the twist out cream so which ever one I like better I will buy a larger size. I'm not too concern about the shipping cost because if its a good product then I don't mind paying for it . So far I don't have any complaints and I also like the Honey hair mask. It's a good DC and I also add it in my spray bottle with distilled water and my essential oils. My hair is finally soft and moisturized when it air dries with the combination of the Terresentials mud wash and the MyHoneyChild products .

Thx, is the twist out cream heavy? Wht do u like about the aloe Vera leave in?

The twist out cream isn't heavy at all. Its almost like a creamy lotion. It doesn't leave my hair greasy and it does a good job defining my twist outs, braid outs, & twisted rod sets. I've only been using the aloe vera leave-in and the twist out cream for my out styles and for the first time my hair wasn't dry by the end of the day . I like the aloe vera leave-in cuz it isn't heavy but its creamy and it leaves my hair feeling like silk . I think its the aloe vera in it that's causing the silk effect. I did try to replicate my own leave-in using almost the same ingredients but I couldn't get mine to be nice and creamy so I said forget it I'll just buy the 8 oz .

ETA: I've just received the 8 oz of the aloe vera leave-in and it looks different from the sample size I purchased and the smell is strong. I hope it still works the same erplexed.

type 3 hair cream, and the honey creme. i'd have bought the full sized honey creme if i didnt have so much of the type 3!

The Honey Hair Mask and the Sophia's Grease (although the scent was strong) were repurchases for me.

my fave. products by her are the olive you deep conditioner and honey hair mask.

but if you are just looking for a daily moisturizer i like the honey hair cream, type 3 and soy butter cream.

type 3 gives me a little hold and clumping power
type 4 gives moisture and shine

It does work the same but I absolutely hate the smell of the 8 oz that I ordered. Now I'm nervous about buying more products cuz I'm going to be pissed if I order a larger size and its not the same as the samples I bought.

Update: I sent the owner an email this morning stating my issue about the aloe vera leave-in. I told her that I didn't like the scent of the 8 oz that I received and she promptly responded to me and she resolved my issue. I told her that I'm sensitive to strong smells and that I'd be willing to send the unused product back for one that wasn't heavily scented. She sent me an email back apologizing for the inconvenience and she shipped me a new bottle at no charge and told me to keep original one . I do like her products a lot and she does make them homemade so I'm sure it can be hard at times to get the same consistency. I will continue to give her my business because I do like her products and she has good customer service .
