Glad to have this thread. I'm a more of a minimalist as time goes on but I know my regimen needs some refinement. I also need to write it down and review it on wash day because I find myself remembering a step during the conditioning stage :nono:

I cleanse and reset weekly because both my hair and scalp like and need them. Optimally, I would reset every 4 days but I need my hair to be a bit longer, so I can air dry in Bantu Knots and then covert that to a bun the next day for work. Hoping to get there by the end of the year.

This is the regimen I want to adhere to
Weekly - Cleanse
1. Prepoo with conditioner and do a quick finger detangle/smooth depending on the style
2. Rinse and comb through with a wide tooth comb
3. Shampoo once or twice depending on what is going on
4. Condition - let sit for a minimum of 3 minutes. Doubt I'm patient enough to go longer
5. Apply leave-in in the shower.
6. Put hair into Bantu Knots and let them air dry for at least 1 hour
7. Apply Mane Choice thermal treatment to each Bantu Knot and dry with my Rev Air
8. Apply moisturizers/gels depending on style. Typically I'm in some type of twist so I use a gel.

Mid-Week
1. Massage in a scalp oil
2. Apply some type of moisturizing spray to the bottom half of my hair.

Once a Month
1. After shampooing, use K-18
Decisions to make
1. Am I going to condition after this step or just move to leave-in?
2. Should I do this as part of a midweek wash so I'm doing a full cleanse and condition in a few days?
3. Do I want to add Pronexa as my starter step. This might be the right time for it?

Once a Quarter - A week before color
1. Prepoo as usual
2. For my shampoo step, the first cleanse is with Elucence Clarifying Shampoo
3. My second shampoo step, is with Madison Reed shampoo
4. Apply K-18 after the shampoo
5. Do a deep condition after the K18
6. Complete the cleanse as usual

Once a Quarter - Color week
1. Apply color to hair as instructed
2. Use shampoo/conditioner supplied with the color kit
3. Use Prose Leave-In
4. But hair into Bantu-Knots to air dry for at least an hour
5. Apply Mane Choice thermal treatment to each Bantu Knot & dry with Rev Air
6. Use Split Ender to trim off 1/8" to 1/4"
7. Take update photos; remember to take a scalp picture
