What\'s up with using S-curl activator on braids?

<font color="blue">Bear with me, I'm a newbie

...

Some of the threads I've read pertaining to the maintenance of braids included the use of S-Curl activator. When I think of S-curl, I think of drippy, jheri curls!!! I always used some type of braid sheen or oil sheen

...now I know not to use regular oil sheen on my braids because it causes build up and it makes my hair look even drier than before.

Would someone please fill me in

well, we tend to favor the no drip formula....its good for lots of people at adding moisture to the hair...im pretty sure thats what folks were talking about...you want braid spray that doesnt just give it sheen, but also moisturized the braids and (more importantly) your hair!
