Someone help me out here. If chelating shampoo's clean the hair from the inside out, wouldn't that drastically improve the porosity of your hair? Why buy both products when one may be able to do get the job done?

They don't do the same. There are several ways to improve your hair's porosity based on what is causing your hair to be porous anyway. Chelating for me goes hand and hand with Clarifying. In some cases, you may not need to clarify or chelate, but you need to condition in order to improve porosity. Porosity Control is a conditioning product and does not clarify at all.

Some people clarify *first* then use Porosity Control to address a variety of issues, primarily damage or when the PH is off. Clarify first to address build-up so that the conditioning works better. I think that PC is a great conditioning treatment. Some people follow up with a deep conditioner afterwards. Some don't. I do because I find that it really helps with the moisture balance.
