I thought ACV was a natural replacement also

hmmmm....i didnt end up buying the conditioner...coz i'm broke and thought if acv can do it then why waste money.......

bumping for more responses....might start a new thread

was about to buy porosity control (i think by revlon....not too sure) but i left my wallet on the train/bus :wallbash:........

its as if i was meant to discover you were a guy tjk....got curious....checked out your profile and found this info....lol

did you ever find any natural alternatives.......correct me if i'm wrong but isnt acv meant to be good for porosity issues???

Yes, according to my research ACV is a natural way to address porosity hair issues. Based on what I've read, hair is more acidic than base/alkaline, and ACV rinses helps to establish the appropriate ph balance for the hair. ACV rinses work heavenly for me.

so how often do you do the rinses?....do you rinse your hair with water after?

i rinse my hair with cold water....read somewhere that the cold rinse is good for the hair

Fab thread! Learn something everyday, lol! I didn't know all about porosity control but knew my hair is super porous and I use a final rinse with ACV by Miessence to combat this. Good to know I've been doing it right.

For those wondering.... I believe anything naturally acidic is a natural alternative to the synthetic PC products. Lemon juice, ACV, citric acid etc. And like mentioned elsewhere in another porosity thread, find what works for you and amounts that work for your hair. Usually a quarter cup ACV to 2 cups of water. It's a fine line between getting it right and using too much acid which would be drying to your hair!

HHG!
