##whats the importance of a denman##

I am thinking about getting a denman brush, since I keep seeing everywhere that we need them...
I have a regular paddle brush that gives good definition...
Is the denman better for some reason or does this not matter... The denman is like $12 its an investment I need to know :lachen:

Well I bought one, because I found it for 3$ somewhere. But umm, I did one swipe in my hair and I had to put it down. I felt like it was tearing out my hair even though it was lubed up and I was being extra super gentle.

I think if you have something that is already working, stick with it.

Agreed msa, I bought a Denman when I was natural. I felt that I was assaulting my poor hair, even while being gentle.

IMO, the Denman is not important at all. You don't need it. BTW I have tightly coiled hair...

I think I paid $8.00 for my denman (d3) at Sally's. I don't think its a necessity but some naturals think that it helps with the detangling process.

For me, when I'm stretching my relaxers it helps decrease the bulk. I also use it to detangle.
