What's the difference between a "quick weave" and a "wig"?

so i saw a vid yesterday where someone did a quick weave. It was gluing tracks to a wig cap i think. What is the advantage over a wig? You can take them both off at night. Isn't the quick weave just like making your own wig? What are the advantages?

This really depends on the type of quick weave.
In many cases the hair (quick weave) is glued to some part of the skin. i.e-in front of the hair line. So, you can't quite remove it. People don't always use a cap either...
I've seen people do quick weaves where they just glue the hair to the wave cap....that's just a homemade wig if you ask me....

Depending on how long it is, yes. My bestfriend didn't braid her hair because it wasn't long enough to. She just "slicked" it down.
