I have only used these twice but they make my hair smooth and soft. Smooth n Shine repair extreme Roots n Ends Repair Oil and Sleek Results Silkener. They both contain hydrolyzed keratin protein and the repair oil has olive and avocado oil. I use the oil before I shampoo under a dryer and the silkener before I blow dry.
I like Motions Silk Protein a lot but I also use Aphogee when I have a lot of shedding. Luckily, I haven't had to pull it out since I started air drying.
Dudley DRC-28 is most effective for my hair.
I also love Joico Kpak.
My milder protein favorites are
Aubrey's GPB
ORS Hair Mayo
Salerm wheat germ mask-taking about great slip
The Elasta QP serum is on sale here at Walgreens. Is it worth buying? What results do you receive from it?

Elasta QP is very good in my opinion! I dont need a real strong one like Aphogee to harden my hair. I always follow it up with a moisturizing conditioner. Its great! My Jilbere comb glides right though. It is comparable to Nexxus Emergencee which I also love. The ladies on this board have reported that it is safe to use this product once week if you like. However I only use it once a month or twice if I think I need it.

It's strengthening, but I don't consider it a heavy duty protein like Aphogee. It contains wheat protein as opposed to keratin. It left my hair soft, although I did need to follow with a moisturizind conditioner. You should try it.
