I posted this elsewhere but no response in another thread so I decided to create a thread just for this question. I know it's probably been combed a bit, but I wanted to get an idea. These pics were at a salon that was touted by Time OUT NY as having under the safe levels in there BKT at under .2 percent There's more chem in my nail polish so I'm excited about that. Their stuff was tested and everything independently.

Anyways, I am trying to get an idea of how well it will straighten my hair. I like that it's a temp thing. Anyways here are the pics. the final one is after they straighten it. Some little flyaways stand up for a day according to them if you have shorter pieces but will go down.

What's her hair type. It seems pretty curly but her texture is finer/ softer so I'm getting confused. Thanks so much!

I'd say she's a 4a (and that the front was smoother because of brushing it down). But, her hair looks extra dry. Also, you can't really tell for sure unless it's on mostly dry, unmanipulated hair with no product. Her hair definitely looks manipulated a bit.

My best guess...3c/4a...fine textured.

Thanks. I think that's what was confusing me because I knew it was manipulated and the texture is fine. This helps a lot though because it shows they can straighten even curlier hair.

Her hair is def dry for sure.

I agree, her hair looks parched...screaming for moisture! :D
I think she's a 3c/4a too, and I think her hair would look completely different if she co-washed it for a few weeks and added moisture and some oil or butter to it.
