They all have a MTO or TSR stamp to them, guessing Media Take Out and Shade Room, it looks like we're getting every singe post from them as a brand new thread. Feels very spammy .
We have maybe 5 new threads about Kell Mitchell, a whole thread about Hailey Bieber's pregnancy cravings????

It would be nice to get a heads up on changes beforehand like the old days. I've had some weird glitching issues today (latest posts/latest threads page popping up).
One thing I believe would help keep the forum current is to either do away with the "is this already being talked about" feature or reduce the range to the past year or so. It's discouraging people from making new threads. Too many monster threads also. Very glad KKK and the like got consolidated since this is black forum, but I don't mind new separate threads for Rihanna, Naomi etc.. I swear if Lupita was pregnant tomorrow it would get tacked onto a 2015 thread about her attending the Oscars! Ent forum is my favorite - please don't spoil it with MTO spam.
This is one of the only paid forums I've ever come across. Why are posters waiting 6+ months for a username change or help with forum issues? I don't even post for help in here. I'm no good with public rejection

Is this site now sponsored by the shade room or media take out? This is more than spam. You can even ignore these guests. I just want to filter out this unwanted content.

I’m not a fan of this either. I did a Google search on the names of these guest posters to see if they are real people and they indeed come up as journalists for TSR and MTO. I found a few of their IG accounts.

I just reported the recent threads as Spam. If enough of us do it maybe we can get some answers and the mod(s) can make it stop. They’re even starting multiple threads with the same content. ET forum looks a hot mess.

All this makes me wonder if the last update created a bug/vulnerability in the site to enable bots to post on the site. Maybe the bug is located in the entertainment section code?
I messaged dimopoulos about the issues. Not expecting a reply, just wanting to let him know.

I don't think this is a bug, lol. It looks very much on purpose, they get their threads tagged MTO/TSR, it looks like a cash grab partnership to drive clicks to their sites. And you can't even ignore these new thread starters.

He responded to a few other threads about the forum changes. I'm hoping he'll respond here too.
@dimopoulos I'd like to know if this is a bug. If so, when do you expect it to be fixed? If it's not a bug, can us paying members opt out? We can't put these guests on 'ignore' and all the TSR and MTO threads are spamming us and make it difficult to view new threads/posts because of all the activity.

This has all the signs of being hijacked. I had to log in too, which is strange we need to change our logins if this gets sorted out.

I agree. Doesn’t seem like a bug at all. And @dimopoulos has already stated that they changed the url, so it was not hijacked. I don’t know whose bad idea these changes were, but they need to roll it back. It’s ruining the forum.

I have made a change to the importer and the imported content gets posted under the user "RSS Import" (instead of the original name of the article author).
I will point Beverly to this thread to offer more insight and opinion.
