What worked for you but for some reason you stopped using

... and that you considering going back to?

:(I am getting tired of trying new things, trying to understand what my hair likes. It is frustrating, really... back then, I didn't care what my hair liked, I just did stuff to it because I was used to doing it or because I felt like it and it actually thrived. Before I joined LHCF, I was using good products for my hair and everything... my only problem was excessive use of heat, and then excessive trimming. Besides that, I pre-pooed often, washed often, deep conditioned, and did my protein treatments and everything. I used all one line: Motions, with the relaxer and everything. I decided to change it up b/c i wanted sexy smelling hair, and that sent me to trying out the wrong things.

Today... I used direct heat: I blowdried! I was so fed up with my hair b/c I cowashed on Friday night and by this morning my hair was dry as hay and more shedding occured. It's probably also because I had a football game last night and we sweat a lot during our performances, but STILL! so i pre-pooed, shampoo, did a protein treatment, etc and before i blowdried, i realized that i still had this small sample of Sebastian Shaper Thermal Body boost, a heat-protectant, and I put some on my hair and OMG, it just softened it up RIGHT AWAY! I was like why did I not use it anymore??
----

I'll start:

*Motions lye relaxer - will probably just go back to that for my next touch-up. Soft & Beautiful no lye messed up my scalp
*Sebastian thermal boost - maybe i should buy a big one and use it also as a leave-in
*Motions CPR- considering what I used to do to my hair, it was thick and strong anyway, for the most part, and it's probably b/c i used this every week
*Infuisum 23 - I still have some but I don't use it often... it can be too much protein...
*Placenta - I used these for my rollersets, and it softens hair really nice, as a leave in. I used it today too, b/c H-Two didn't do the magic this time
*my hair brush - I brushed a few times these past 2 weeks, maybe twice, and boy what a difference it made in how my ponytail looked! I will get a very soft brush though :)
*my blowdrier... YES, my blowdrier... but ONLY for emergencies... I hadn't used it since January before today
*my rollers- haven't had a home rollerset in gosh knows how long!! I will do mostly rollersets from my relaxer on

-- anyone? :look:

Well, I don't have any products specifically to list, but I have never stopped using the products that work for me. Some of mine contain things that other's have marked off as bad. Some of mine are not trendy. But, they work! My hair is soft, moisturized, not breaking, and I hardly shed. The moment I tried some of the "new" stuff, my hair did not like it. Granted I have learned about 2-3 really good items from other's, but for the most part it has been better to just stick with the products that work and not the latest trends.

I stopped using Surge. I started to see big flakes, although I cannot be sure what caused them, so I stopped using it. If my edges won't grow in with my current regimen, I will use Surge again.
I also stopped using Hollywood Beauty's carrot creme & Africa's Best herbal oil. I used these during my transition, and stopped once I was completely natural. I am just afraid to experiment with my hair,so I stopped but I intend to try them out again.

I wrote in my journal lastnight about this very thing! I love ORS hair mayo. I've used this for years and my hair was always healthy and bouncy. I always tried new stuff but not nearly as much as since finding LHCF.
When somebody tried a new conditoner, shampoo, or leave-in, I tried it too. The result was tons of products that my hair didn't like and lots of money wasted. So I went back to what I know.
I'll still try new products but not by anyone's recommendation. I'll try it if it grabs my interest but I'll try to remember that what works for one person may not work for another.
I used my ORS hair mayo lastnight and OMG the moment it touched my hair my hair was in heaven. The results made me want to weep! I'm so mad I wasted so much money!!!

I would have to say Wild Growth Oil (WGO). It worked great on my hair when I was using in diligently a year or so ago, but I just got sick of using oil. It was sorta messy and always stained my pillow cases - no matter how little I used.

I don't know if my hair suffered or not by not using it, but I've been trying to incorporate it back into my regimen little-by-little because of how it made my hair look and feel.

My Design Essentials line. I just put this in the back of the closet. Now I'm about to restock. I got soft, strong hair using this.
