What will Bigen do?

My hair is dark brown. I used an auburn over a year ago that required a cream peroxide developer to be mixed in. Results were ok but I think it dried my hair out...overall just not very healthy no matter what I did.
Now that has really grown out/broken off.....I want to use Bigen.
I used the Med. Chestnut Brown before doing the peroxide.
Question..if I am dark brown and ends (about 1"-2") are dark auburn....what will happen if I use one of the auburn shades of Bigen. Can it take you lighter? (always thought you needed bleach for that)

Bigen can only darken the hair: if u hair is already chemically dyed dark: Bigen Xpressives can't lighten it: So if Chestnut is darker then ur Auburn: then ur hair will turn to the Chestnut color: but if ur Auburn is darker: chesnut can't lighten ur hair. HTH
