Re: What vitamins REALLY make a difference in grow

If I had to choose only 1 it would be biotin. This can really speed up some hair growth.

Re: What vitamins REALLY make a difference in grow

silica is pretty good too. but biotin would win this.

Re: What vitamins REALLY make a difference in grow

Do you know of a good brand?

Re: What vitamins REALLY make a difference in grow

B-Complex! It has all of the B-vitamins included. I have noticed a difference in my hair since I have been taking it these past few months.

I use Twinlab and it doesn't have a smell.

Re: What vitamins REALLY make a difference in grow

I would have to say biotin worked best. Although, the very first vitamins I ever took for hair growth was Nouritress and they gave me an excellent start.

Re: What vitamins REALLY make a difference in grow

Another vote for BIOTIN here! It's great for hair and nails. I stopped taking it for a few months and started back a week ago. I'm already at the point of having to clip my nails every 4 or 5 days. When I was off biotin, I was clipping every few weeks. I have my hair in the natural state most of the time so it's difficult to measure growth, but biotin does make my scalp itch a bit more, so I like to think that means my hair is growing.

Re: What vitamins REALLY make a difference in grow

How much biotin are you all taking? What are some side affects? I hear breakouts are one is this true?

Re: What vitamins REALLY make a difference in grow

I bould say biotin and silica did it for me. i have MSM but I experience breakouts from it but I'd like to continue using it but oh well

Yes it is true, but it does work. The dosage I was taking was 500mcg I think? It really wasn't that many mgs. MSM is also really good.

Re: What vitamins REALLY make a difference in grow

I've noticed a big difference taking biotin and a b complex everyday. Tene do you take your l-cystein with a meal? Mine said take on an empty stomach well I did and was throwing it up an hour later. Will it matter if I take it with a meal, like I do my other vitamins? I have the GNC brand, thanks for any info that you have.

Re: What vitamins REALLY make a difference in grow

Biotin. I took PP brand initially and got a major growth spurt that tapered off in time. So I stopped for a few months. I'm going to order Freeda on Monday. MSM loosened the curl pattern of my hair but I didn't notice increased growth. Biotin didn't cause breakouts for me but 2000mgs of MSM sho' nuff' broke me out somethin awful. I didn't drink enough water so perhaps it was my fault.

Re: What vitamins REALLY make a difference in grow

I take HF37 because it contains biotin, L-Cysteine and others that have been mentioned in one tablet. The downside is that they are expensive and you have to take 8 of them per day if you follow the guidelines. I take 5 but that's still a lot. I can, however attest that I acheive faster growth when I'm taking them than when I'm not.

Yeah I was taking them after I ate, mines never said how I should take them, it just said take one daily.

Re: What vitamins REALLY make a difference in grow

I'm taking

GY&N Biotin
10mg (which equals 10,000mcg). I recently purchased
Freeda's brand and as soon as it gets here, I'm switching
to it.

Natrol MSM & Glucosamine
500mg MSM; Calcium 65mg; Phosphorus 50mg; Glucosamne
Sulfate 500mg

Royal Brittany Evening Primrose
Evening Primrose Oil 500mg; Cis-Linoleic Acid 365mg;
Gamma-Linolenic Acid 45mg

GNC Flaxseed Oil - 1000 mcg

Centrum Daily Multi-Vitamin

GNC Ultra Nourish Hair (too many to nutrients to name)

GY&N Silica - 500 mg
*************************

Side effects: I think the side effects I commonly hear about are bleeding constantly and/or breakouts.

I never have the breakouts and I don't drink a lot of water, but I do have about 15oz of water a day.

I did have the bleeding issue with the MSM a year ago, but I'm on a birth control method now and that's no longer a problem at all.

I think the water might help that issue too.

If I had to choose only 1 - it would be the BIOTIN, but ensure that you get the Freeda or PP brand.
