Hi, Thick & Long!

I had some weak areas on my edges and crown from wrapping too violently awhile back :perplexed , and one product that helped me was Dr. Miracle's Intensive Spot Serum. The hair grew pretty well; also BB Pine Tar (which has a kind of rough smell, but not too bad) worked well, too.

As for Surge 14, I can't find it locally, and I would love to try some Boundless Tresses (I'm sure the PJ in me will order some soon!)

ETA: I hate wrapping now; I only do it when my hair is freshly relaxed; after that I do something else, braid outs, cornrows.

To better answer the question, BT (Boundless Tresses, as if you all didn't know :) had me knappy after 3-4 weeks where I am usually knappy and unmanageable at 6 weeks. I have cornrows now and plan on putting some on the "rows" tonight! :)

Hi tricie  I'm using MTG ... and I'm not sure if I'm getting results, ya know ? Measuring is not my strong suit

Sorry I didn't add the Lenzi's Request...I'm sorta new and wasn't aware of it...but it seems to be doing the trick....

I'm using MTG...2 - 3 wks so far...And my hair is ranging form 1/3 - 1/2 - 2/3 of a inch...I'm not sure but the edges I don't remember growing this much at all, stress i think, so, I'll keep using it till the bottle is done, then try the lenzi's request.

It seems to be rolling in the "other" list...or are most of you doing something else ?

MTG all the way baby!!!! I plan on trying BT when I finsh using up my MTG (I have two 32oz bottles left...that's how much I LOVE MTG) ;)

Using that leave in conditioner - 911 - that really helped me with retaining length a few years back. I just bought it again and so far, so good.

I haven't found anything yet that actually makes my hair grow faster besides vitamins. Nioxin did seem to work but I decided just to use regular vitamins instead (less costly).

I can't wait to see the other replies.

I voted other.

I use a capazin mix with menthol and camphor... it is actually for pain relief of the muscles and joints but I applied it to my scalp and hairline and it has filled my hairline in very quickly. It's my moms stuff but she let me have it and it stimulates the scalp within a minute of application. This filled my hair line in quicker than the EVOO on my edges. It also has extracts of other herbs in it. I only use this once or twice a month b/c it is some strong powerful stuff it really gets your scalp stimulated and tingling.

The MTG used to work...it is no longer working, or I am not seeing much of a difference. I was using Dr. Miracles...but I stopped being consistent.

Hi, ThickandLong!

I hear ya; I haven't measured yet either, but that's partly due to my hair being cornrowed right now!

I would love to try the MTG too, but I heard it smells so bad; I can handle some stuff, but everyone talks about how stinky this stuff is; I wish I could get a sample first! :lachen:

Girl, it's not bad at all to me. Honestly (ducks) I like the smell because it reminds me of being a kid, my mom used sulfur 8 allllllll the time on my head as a kid, and thats EXACTLY how it smells. Apart from a sample, go to the store and smell a jar of sulfur 8...that's how MTG smells...

I use a mix of JBCO, and MTG which works well. I oil my braids with a long stem bottle and massage in between the braids for a good five to ten minutes. I have also had good results with WGO which I have been using since High School. True, some topicals work better for some, but I also think the key to results, is a good massage, to make sure that it gets into the scalp thoroughly.

mtg.

I dont know if this has been asked already, but how do you use Lenzi's request? and if there is anyone who uses both Lenzi's and MTG, or have tried both, which product gave you the greatest results??? Thaaaaanx :)

My MN cocoction (see siggy).

ETA: The cocoction is half LR (which didn't do anything by itself) and half MN w/ a tsp of emu oil.

Well I just about tried everything. I did MTG and yeah it worked but I couldn't take that smell at work. I learned a new way to apply it but it still had a slight smell to it that just got stronger so I put it away and stopped using it. I did the MN mixture I don't know if it worked I mixed mines with Jojobo oil. Avocado oil and emul oil. I wasn't consistent but I think it made my hair thicker. I brought the boundless tresses and I used surge and woojee cream. I also made my own MTG. I guess all of them worked I got six inches in one year and I usually get three inches a year if that. I think if I was more consistent I might have gained two more inches but I cannot do something everyday. Other then going to work I can't. Besided I love the freedom of just not doing anything. I do wet my hair daily. Thats the newest change for me and the biggest contributor to my hair grow. IMHO

Does Lenzi's Request have a pleasant smell?

Just got LR last week. I am not a fan of the way Lenzi's Request smells, but I am going to use it up because I don't want to waste money. It reminds me of medicine that the elderly would use.

Boundless Tresses helped fill in my hair line and the back of my hair. BT is the best for me so far.
