I like texturized hair styles like twist outs or my shake and gos. When I straighten my hair, I get more praise. Do you find that you prefer a certain look on you? Do others prefer another style?

Good question.

I like my hair bonestraight with lots of movement and a slight bump on the ends and bangs (like an Asian hairstyle).

People tend to like my hair with curls and lots of body. I for one can't stand body. There is nothing cute about big hair on my head.

My preference always reign supreme (Unless I am getting paid for their preference :look: )!

I like my hair wavy and curly. When I wash my hair and let it air dry, with no braiding, twisting, banding, etc... just the way it grows out of my head. I think I look best that way.

My sisters tell me my face looks really fat with curly hair and I should wear it straight. When I flat iron then I get loads of praise from them.:look:

My husband likes my hair when it sticks out about 2 feet all around my head in a tangles mess.:perplexed

ETA: I voted for wavy, lots of body. I usually wear my hair in simple buns but I do love the look of my hair falling down around me in waves.

Camelia- I like the curly style on you. I don't remember every seeing it straight.

Lots of love- I like the straight styles on you but I don't recall seeing it styled differently.

e big wavy full hair ...I get praises with both straight and wavy..a little more with straight ..but I think people like the length I archive when my hair is straight...not that thy don't like curly.

I always thought body meant movement?

Thanks.:)

I only straighten twice a year, so I don't have many pictures of my hair straight. I'm going to flat iron next month to see the real length.

I have done rollersets etc and took pics, etc. I wear them if I feel like it once in every blue moon. I don't think I have shared them here tho.

But (until I get the urge) you probably won't see me with any other styles than in my siggy. Those are the styles I feel comfy with and I take pride in so those are the ones I mainly showcase.

I like my hair natural - usually twist or plaits.

I get more praise from others also if I press it (which never lasts) or if I wear a straight wig.

My family and most of my male friends prefer my hair straightened like in my avatar. I prefer my hair wavy/curly in a wash and go.

I prefer big wild hair. I've found that most people prefer me with my hair like that too. Even my mom. She said it goes better with my features than straight hair. I find that men who are stuck into the whole European standard of beauty prefer me with long straight hair. I guess they feel like I need it to make up for my complexion. :ohwell: And that's why I'm not dating them anymore. :look:

I like big hair... No matter how its styled. If its straight, I think its shold swing and have bounce and atleast have a bump at the ends.

I prefer BIG wild hair...and dont care much for what other's prefer, at this stage in the game...

However, I do attempt to conform a wee bit in professional settings..

I love wild crazy hair and people seem to love it on me. i don't get half as many comments when my hair is straight. when i do twistouts on wet hair watch out now!

This made me sad.:(

I honestly don't think ALL men think like that. Seriously. Don't get caught up in the hype.

I prefer the shake n go because it's so easy and free...

I get more praise when I wear a stretched out afro/afro puff.

Girl I've heard it ALL. Those are always the ones that are like why don't you wear your hair straight anymore? It always reminds me of when Blair Underwood made that comment about the long hair on Sanaa in Something New.

I and most of the people I know like my hair big and wavy - the volume suits me physically and personality wise. I get compliments on the straight look too...from older white men. :sekret:

I get more compliments from yt women and two blacks guys (they're obsessed with what they call biracial hair) when I wear my hair in twists, twist outs and braid outs. I get more attention from men in general when I wear it straight with waves or the ends bumped.

I like it best when it's either big and curly from a twist out or sleek and straight with waves/loose curls.

i prefer big and bouncy styles with volume...and people prefer me with the same hair. Im not a huge fan of super sleek/flat looks unless the hair is ubber thick.

I used to love the big rollerset hair until I started to get lost all in that hair, Im kinda petite. My body frame seems to be complimented best by the sleek and straight looks :)

It depends! I like to wear my hair sleek and straight when I go out because it makes me look older. When I wear braid/twists outs, I look younger (people think I'm 16, which I hate :wallbash:) but I prefer the fullness/volume.

I get more praise when my hair is curly but I tend to be more used to it str8. I dunno I am a bit of a cameleon so I get bored quick also.lol

This is true for me too although I like that I tend to look younger, I want ppl to know I'm a grown woman.lol
